We acknowledge the customers complaint and agree to accept the 50% of the bill he mentioned As for his claim, we had been in contact with him and asked for the letter he received and it was never produced The letter that he is referencing was a letter sent to old customers that had not used us in a while that we were trying to get back We proceeded to ask the customer for proof that he was a old customer per what the letter specified to be eligible for the discounts and it was never provided We apologize for any confusion but feel that we did what was right in asking for proof that he was an old customer of ours Our company prides itself on satisfactory service and quality products At this time we will agree to do 50% off the winterization invoice he has

However, I wish to state that I showed the letter in question to their authorized staff person who conducted the winterization in last quarter and he agreed that the letter offer was acceptable and genuine and would be honoredI also believe that their office mistakenly recorded my prior year's service and payment to the former owner of the house and hence could not trace my previous service by their companyAt this time, I feel it is prudent to accept the 50% offer rather than get into a 'he said, she said' impasseI have mailed the 50% payment to their office for closure on this event and will move on as life is too short to be aggravated over their letter which was worded unclearly and did not specify clear pre-conditionsBoth parties can agree to disagree and mutually move on without rancour or ill-will
