On February , 2020, I made a reservation on Booking.com for two nights checking in on June , 2020. No prepayment was required, although the cost of the first night could have been pre-authorized. Cancelling before June , 2020, was free. Instead, I was fully charged for the entire stay. The hotel is fraudulently claiming that this is a non-refundable reservation. They are refusing to refund the wrongly charged prepayment even after Booking.com contacted them. I have now canceled this reservation.

I have complained about my recent stay at this hotel but they are ignoring my complaint. All issues were reported at the time then followed up with a complaint by email. The hotel room was unbearably hot due to no air conditioning (even though ac is advertised). There was heating on in the room all week which is centrally controlled so could not be turned down. Air conditioning could not be switched on. The room was very noisy with no soundproofing to windows or doors. On our second last day my son found a huge live cockroach in his shoe. My husband tried to kill it but it ran under a wardrobe. I have a really bad cockroach phobia and was extremely upset and had a panic attack, I went straight to reception and was in tears and shaking. the receptionist was not phased or shocked and simply asked us if we wanted to move rooms which we did. No apologies. Our new room was not made up for the fifth person and despite requests no linen was brought to room and we had to find it ourselves. Email complaints to the manager have been ignored. He responded once in an accusatory tone and when I asked him to reply in writing rather than telephone me, he has ignored all further emails.
