We were informed of a rate increase to our rent 15 days before our next bill is due (9/1/17). When is asked about this rate increase, they told me they put a note on our door in September of 2016. We never received any information about this rate increase and are willing to pay the next due date at our current rate.
Dear ***Please accept our apology for the miscommunication on your rent amount. As we audited ledgers we realized that you were on month to month but were not being charged the $100 month to month fee. As a policy when this information is found we give a verbal/email notice of change of rent. At the time this information was given to you, you come into the office to talk with the business manager about transferring. After reviewing your ledger we found that you did not qualify for a transfer. After this denial you submitted a notice to vacate. We did not change your rent amount due to the fact that you would only occupy your unit for a short period of time. We would like to extend our deepest apology for any confusion this may have caused you. We appreciate you as a resident and hope we have taken care of this matter in a satisfactory way.
