From: PlumbRight Services Sent: Wednesday, May 18, 3:PM Subject: Complaint ID: On March 7, we were contracted to go the home of the complainant for a leaking water heater. Our contract is with the complainant’s home warranty companyOur tech found his water heater
to be leaking. He proceeded to replace the leaking water heater with a new - gallon gas short one. He did drain the leaking water heater prior to moving it, but it must have had a few drops left inside. He wrapped the old water heater in a tarp along with his helper and carried it up the stairs. The old water heater dripped water on his basement grain sack stair runner. The tech used a combination of part dish washing fluid and parts water to wipe up any remnants. When our tech and helper left the home, there were no white spots on the stair runner. The complainant also signed our invoice (attached) on a separate area where it states he has looked over the area and our company has not caused any damage to his home He then called and sent pictures where there are bleached out spots. We have spoken and corresponded via email (attached) with him on several occasions, even offered to buy him a replacement stair runner and have it installed by a professional. He was not interested. He only wanted cash PlumbRight Services & Rooter, IncN Bardstown Road Mount Washington KY *** *** ***

We were contracted through his warranty company to come out and diagnose his water heater We came out and found that the water heater needed to be replaced, called in the diagnosis to his warranty company and it was approved We do have to collect the deductible that the customer is
contracted to pay to us through his warranty companyUnfortunately, his warranty does pay for the water heater that he needs for replacement In this case we would put the order in from the office to his warranty company, they in turn order it from a supply house that will ship the water heater to us directly We will sometimes bring a water heater with us from our stock, and then replenish our stock from the ordered water heater In this case we have to have the model #, Serial #, and dimensions of the water heater that needs to be taken out, so the new one we bring will fit properly We do not have a one size fits all water heater

The technician called the hole size into *** If he did not, they would not pay us for the work we did We also type in the hole dimensions into their portal when we bill them I also called in the hole size to them myself, after I spoke with the customer

PlumbRight Services and Rooter, Inchas been to this home on
four separate occasions. Twice through
the previous home owner and twice through the current home owner. The first two times we were there for
plumbing issues in 2013, there was secondary damage in the basement from
the
drain lines prior to our arrival. These
were for rotted galvanized pipes, we repaired these and snaked the kitchen sink
with no issue. The third time we were
called to this home in July of there was standing water in the basement,
it turned out to be a foundation leak which is not a plumbing issueWe received a dispatch from the customer’s warranty company on
November 4, 2015. Our tech *** arrived
to her home on November 5, at 11:19am.
He assessed the situation and found the master bathroom toilet to be
clogged. Under no circumstance would our
technicians attempt to move a toilet and snake the line from the flange prior
to plunging the toilet. He first
attempted to plunge, then augured, and reattempted to plunge the toilet again
(he had not removed the toilet from the flange at this point). While he was plunging the toilet on the
second attempt, the homeowner and *** heard a loud noise coming from the
basement Upon walking down to the
basement for inspection, it was discovered that the toilet line had overflowed
into the basement ceiling causing damage to the ceiling tiles and floor. *** then went out to his truck to get
booties, he also gave a pair to her and her insurance adjuster (whom just so happened
to be at their house already). *** then
removed the toilet from the flange, placing it directly in front of the flange
(not in the shower, as it would not fit there even if he attempted to) and
snaked the line. At this point, the line
still was full and had not cleared, so he had to cut the drain line from the
basement and then snake it from that pointOnce cleared, he made the repair to
the drain lineHe cleaned up the area in the master bathroom, but was asked by
the homeowner to leave the basement “as is” for the insurance adjuster. He left the home at 1:40pm. She stated that *** left towels and a bucket in her home, but
he did not leave any of our belongings thereAll items were inventoried and
accounted forShe also stated that she was home alone with her baby, but in
fact her mother was there watching the baby the whole time. The president of the company went to her home on November 7,
to see if he could do anything to accommodate her. He offered to have a sterilization company
come over to sterilize her carpets, but she had no interest. She wanted cash only.We did not cause this damage to this home, so we cannot be held
responsible for it. The home owner
actually signed our invoice on a separate section where it states: “I have looked
over the area where plumbing has been repaired or replaced. This area has NO damage that is the
responsibility of PlumbRight Services and Rooter.”

I contacted the warranty company as soon as they left my house and they couldn't believe that they did not bring a water heater with them since I had previously told them what size it was and it was leaking into the finished part of my basementInstead they told me it would be Monday before they could come back and this was WednesdayI then cancelled the order from them and ask if I would get my dollar service fee back and the lady told me no, it was non-refundableI then called another plumber and they had no problem bringing a water heater out and installing itIt also was the same size as mine was but had different deminsionsIt was a little bit shorter and bigger around, but this guy must have knew what he was doing because he actually plumbed it in using some plumbing fitting, something Plumb Right must not know how to do since different brand are sometimes different deminsions

The timeline of events is incorrect from this less than esteemed company. The issue in July of 2025 first of all occurred in our guest house and had nothing to do with a foundation crack, but with a clogged French drain. We hired [redacted] Plumbing and had them fix the problem since the warranty company was unable to subcontract competent plumbers. My mother was called over after the ceiling had collapsed because I couldn't juggle an incompetent plumber tracking sewage in addition to my tired infant. As the representative from [redacted] will and can attest, [redacted] the plumber was not wearing booties, in addition to the surveillance footage in our hallway security system as well as outside our front house. I offered to give them receipts for the mitigation from a reputable company, however the owner had no interest. Seeing as they have not had a great track record, we would never accept a bid from someone subcontracted/hired by them. This was a pressing issue that could not be handled in their time. I had to do what I had to do to get raw sewage and saturated drywall fixed. [redacted] the plumber used our buckets and towels, which I have pictures of laying in raw sewage in two bathrooms, as does the [redacted] representative (he took several pictures while and after [redacted] was there). We left the buckets and towels there until the owner could get there so he could see first hand. These items have since been thrown out and appropriately sanitized. We have met with an attorney who is reviewing all of our grievances, surveillance, photos and will have to handle this in court if they are unable to settle this matter. It is unacceptable for these people to get away with this type of service. We are the victims.
