Gardner Transformations

Review: My complaint is against Danny G[redacted] of Gardner Transformations for taking a down payment of 500.00 and only reimbursing me 150.00 for work he did not do! I had to pay another contract to do the work, and now Mr. Gardner is giving me the run around about the 350.00 balance. Mr. Gardner came to my home on Saturday September 13, 2014 to give me an estimate of a repair of a bay window. While he was there I decide to have him do two project instead of one, replacing my tub and repair of my bay window. Mr. Gardner wrote an estimate of 1,000.00 dollars and I paid him half 500.00 down payment. Mr. Gardner was scheduled to start on Monday September 15th, but text me stating he had a family emergency and could not start. Two weeks later and a whole lot of text messages later on Friday September 26th Mr. Gardner came to my home at 7:00am, we discussed changing the projects from the bay window and bath tub to bay window and the roof. He gave me another estimate of approximately 1,150.00 dollars and I agreed. At that time Mr. Garner asked me for another 200.00 check, but I refused. He agreed to start the work that morning and said the roofer was coming around 9:00am. When I returned home that evening at 5:30pm there was no Mr. Gardner, no work done, and no money. Nothing but a key on top of a note stating he had another family emergency and could not do the work, and he would refund some of my money (which is not acceptable).He left a hole in the bay window covered with plastic and tin and left! I had a hole in my house! I had to have someone come immediately to repair the window.Desired Settlement: I would like Mr. Gardner to refund my money of 350.00 dollars. He can contact me and arrange a meeting place. I would like a money order or cash. He can write a receipt and I will sign it to have documentation of the refund.
