I contacted Garland Auto Services regarding receipts for our vehicle and when I gave my name to the receptionist she sounded very upset. She said the receipts would be printed for me when I arrived. When I showed up the receipts were printed already which I thought was expedient but her manner was rude and she was literally shaking and spoke very abruptly to me. As this is the common mechanic of my soon to be ex husband I felt as though there had been a possiblility of reputation bashing since she was so obviously physically upset by my presence. I asked if there were something wrong and was abruptly told no and when I asked a few questions regarding our vehicle was given vague answers and told she wanted to finish her lunch. I asked what time it was and offered politely to come back later to which she responded with a time.

I chose to call rather than go back since the experience was very upsetting to me. I asked some more questions regarding the work done on our vehicle due to the recent work done and it's current state and was again given vague answers.

I figured I would not get anywhere so I asked if they remembered anything to please give me a call and left my number. Before getting off the phone I mentioned to the receptionist that I noticed how horribly upset she was by my presence. She snapped back with "maybe I had something else going on". I responded that whatever it was I hoped that she had a beautiful rest of her day but that if she had heard bad things about me to please remember there are two sides to every story at which point she hung up on me. This would tend to make one believe that they were in fact, the source of the issue, except I do not know the individual.

In the professional environment, personal issues should be left at home. I was the customer and was simply trying to obtain information regarding a vehicle they had worked on several times in the last year. I was treated rudely for no reason and left wondering if my name had been slandered and me not given professional courtesy because an individual chose to listen to gossip about me presented by an individual or individual's who hate me.Really my personal business has no bearing on what work was or was not done or on their company as a whole so it should not have had an impact on how she treated me as a customer.

I had called around to several repair shops in Spokane to get my window fixed and was given a week or two out on every call. I called Garland Auto and by golly he told me to bring it in the next morning. I did and he was very honest with me about the costs and the repairs that he did and the cost he saved me.. He told me that what he did my or may not last but wasn't gonna charge me for unneeded stuff. God Bless him he is the sweetest and kindest man. I was leery at first but know that as long as he has been in business there has to be something that keeps him in business. Thank you.
