Polaris RZR 900. She had previously had it at another dealership in Odessa, Texas and was not happy with the work. She arrived at our business on October 30, 2015 with claims of a knock in the motor. She blamed the issue on repairs made by the Texas dealership and wanted us to write a letter documenting the problems and placing responsibility on them. A new motor was ordered for her unit. On February 26, 2016 the customer was informed that the motor was on backorder. Again, on March 8, 2016 the customer's husband was informed that the motor was still on backorder. The motor was delivered to our business on April 28, 2016. All work was completed on June 15th and the customer picked up the unit on June 21st. She called our service department on June 22nd regarding problems with her Polaris. The next day our service manager, Tiffany, contacted her to correct the issues. Tiffany told her to bring her unit back to us and ALL OF HER EXPENSES WOULD BE PAID. Customer informed us on June 24th that they would only take it to another dealership. On June 29th we authorized diagnosis "ONLY" of the unit by another dealership's service department. On July 13th the authorized dealership, [redacted], contacted us. We learned that the replaced motor was bad and that an exhaust gasket had been left off by our mechanic; however, the gaskets would not have caused the issues found by the dealership and Polaris would not have offered warranty on the new motor. July 14th we sent [redacted] and the customer all of the information to have the motor warranted through Polaris factory warranty. [redacted] were asked to contact us and we would take care of the cost on the exhaust gaskets.
