[Andre G[redacted] never intended on purchasing materials. He wanted me to buy materials from [redacted] and stated he was deducting from the cost of another job. He forces customers to continue business with him in order to have damages done by his business to be fixed. Mr. G[redacted] sent an inappropriate and unprofessional text on 04.27.16 and making this issue into a racial factor when this is just bad business. He stated that I had no respect for black businesses and that $50 check was being sent]

I thought we was deducting $50 from the labor price of the trash bin to cover the materials of the floor?

Revdex.com spoke with the business owner. At the time of the job there was a mishap with the primer getting on the customer's floor. The business said he would price it out and fix it because the issue was caused by his employee. The customer agreed to this and the business got the materials priced around...

$50. After speaking with the customer it was agreed that instead of the business paying for this this way he would take that cost off of the contract price of another job the customer wanted him to do for her, a trashcan bin.   After that the customer came to him with materials she purchased on her own but the materials were not a product this business has used in the past and he did not feel like he could install them correctly. The business was willing and able to resolve this issue with the customer however since she purchased materials after he informed her he had them priced out and where hte products he knows how to use he told her that he would not be able to that job. he does not feel the customer is due a refund for these materials because he had already made a plan for repair with the customer and she went against that in a way he can no longer assist her with.

Review: Garnett Industries performed services of installation of bathroom vanity on 03.25.16 which resulted in damage to the bathroom floor. Mr. Andre G[redacted] was contacted and he advised prior to coming to view damage that assistant scrapped floor with sandpaper causing the damage. He also advised that he needed to add some adhesive to the vanities that holds better than silicone. Mr. G[redacted] wanted me to purchase materials for bathroom repair and that he would reimburse me. Repair was to be made on 04.14.15 but Mr. Garnett called on 04.13.15 advising that he needed to cancel due to unexpected traveling and would contact me to reschedule. I never heard back from him so I contacted again on 04.18.16 and was then advised that he did not feel comfortable with doing the repairs and that he felt more comfortable if I had someone else install new flooring from his damages and that he would still reimburse fees. Mr. G[redacted] is using the excuse that with vinyl floor planking you have to remove toilet and vanity which is not the case. When I questioned him on it again advising that vinyl planking is the same as vinyl flooring and can cut with box cutter; he then used the excuse of I've only done it once and didn't get it right. I have made several attempts with contacting him asking when will he reimburse for materials. His last response was I don't want you to think I giving you the run around but I haven't been home yet to check my schedule and can only reimburse once I get a draw or payout from a job. To this date, I still have not heard back from Mr. G[redacted].Desired Settlement: I desire refund of $60.57 for materials and adhesive added to vanities that was not done. Once this is done, I will no longer require his services of additional work that was requested to be done.
