[redacted] ***, After much correspondence via phone, email and now through [redacted] (Dispute Resolution Analyst, RevDex.com), I am asking once more for the three estimates that you have gotten from body specialists in your area. My dealership has never received the quoted information you were given, despite both verbal and written requests. Without this information in black and white, there is no way that I can compare the monetary difference between each establishment. We have already provided a reimbursement check for the fair-trade repair price in the automotive industry. I feel that Autodealz has went above and beyond to compensate you for the repair of the damage to the lift gate that you discovered once you took ownership of the 2005 [redacted] . In regards to any further complaint, I suggest that you consider the fact that you purchased a USED vehicle and chose NOT to purchase an extended warranty. l, Paul D***, owner of Autodealz, spoke with *** *** the afternoon of April 8th when she received her *** (via her chosen shipping company) from our dealershipShe was ecstatic and raved how happy she was with the *** and it was even better than the photos (via on our website and
additional photos that I texted) and said she would recommend family and friends in the futureThe only issue, which she noted herself and said her previous *** had the same issue and agreed was a common problem with *** and *** in certain model years, were fine hairline cracks in the finisher panel (which is just applied for aesthetics and has no safety or structural impact on the vehicle and there is also a service bulletin on this issue from ***/***)I mentioned to her that it is such a common problem, I did not honestly pay attention to it because it is so extremely common and each one I see has the cracksAt that time, I mentioned that I (a.k.aAutodealz) would supply a used part via a salvage yard which I would have to check on and obtainDuring the conversation I did not give a time limit because at that time I did not know what would be available and how long it Would take to receive the itemI received a text from *** on April 18th that she would be getting the *** fixedI told her that was not what was originally agreed upon when We spoke about the *** factory flaw which I agreed to help fixThe price quotes obtained by the customer (which requested and still have yet to see the quote) were phenomenally higher than the parts that Autodealz could obtain, ship, and have installed to the *** at a facility close to ***'s residenceI at that time agreed to have a new part painted and shipped to her*** would not agree to this so then suggested sending a check to reimburse her for the above items and reimbursement for labor at the rate our shop charges (this is an average shop rate in our region)The enclosed check is for the reimbursement expenses originally agreed upon (Autodealz obtaining the part) and the labor is added to this to assist with installationPlease sign the goodwill repair acknowledgement attached.Thank you,Paul D

I am rejecting this response because: Paul you stated you requested several times for my estimates, I informed you over the phone in which you stated there was no way also via text you stated you felt as if you were being shafted. You demanded that I except a full settlement of your offer of a part painted by your shop from a junkyard and shipped to me to have a dealer place on my vehicle. Due to researching this the three dealerships stated this would not work and would crack yet again within a short period of time. As for me knowing I was purchasing a "used" vehicle yes you are correct but I also asked times for photos of any and all body damage, in which you neglected to inform me of the severe body damage on the tailgate which is misleading, fraudulent and deceptive. I called you as soon as the delivery guy unloaded the vehicle. The next day the check engine light came on, the moon roof broke, the tires are the wrong size (safety issue) and the seatbelts in the front don't work? this was all brought to your attention within the first week and a half. You wanted no part of any estimates you stated that was all you were going to reimburse me for the damage that was not disclosed. You took every photo of little dents dings everything, I even asked for you to take photos of the vehicle prior to loading it on the shipment cargo. I fully understand I purchased a used vehicle and you know why due to my accident that's all I felt safe in and you misled me on the condition and then say the damaged items where not included in the warranty? I will pursue this in court for the price to repair the lift gate, the engine light, the seat belts and moonroof. I will also be asking the court for the rental of a vehicle comparable to what I have while it is in the garage. I am not sure what the laws are in VA but will have my attorney seek travel expenses also. I have all text messages and photos provided which clearly are deceptive. All I asked for was to have the tailgate fixed the proper way. Due to the fact I am unaware of the VA laws compared to CT where you are not obligated to be directed to have your repairs paid for by a demanded dealer/auto repair facility is why I have now obtained legal representation. Again I had provided you with the estimates over the phone and you stated the junkyard would supply, you would paint and then ship and have a dealership repair here but under your hourly rates. Thank you *** ***
