Hi,I have some good news from Complaint ID #[redacted] Gary [redacted] of Garrison's Landscaping has finally completed the job. It is much to my satisfaction. I thank you for all your help. It at very least provided a safe environment for discussion. As a compromise to finishing the job I promised I would remove all negative reviews, including this complaint to the Revdex.com. Would you please remove the complaint from the Revdex.com website since this issue has been satisfactorily resolved? Thank you so much,[redacted]
We finished the job for [redacted], when he arrived home he immediately sent me a text saying that’s not what he wanted, when in fact it was exactly what we talked about in July. I immediately went over there after receiving the text, he brought up the idea of removing the rock and I told him if he would remove all the rock in the ditch that I would come back and fix it. I showed up on September 29th, and dropped my Bobcat off. September 30, my guys show up to fix it and The Rock had not been removed from the ditch, it was thrown further back in the ditch. He never removed any of it, he told me that he was going remove it and give it to his neighbors when in fact he did not, When I spoke to him on the phone on September 30th, he told me just to throw dirt over the rock and I told him I could not because it would cause a drainage nightmare because the dirt would settle, then he whole another problem. I told him to call me when he got back in town and I would meet with him again. We met that following Friday, the first question he asked me is when is this job will be finished and I told him when you remove the rock out of the ditch. I told him, once he remove the rock and Debra my part, that when he became very argumentative, so I got my truck and was getting ready to leave And he threaten me with legal action. I told him that my lawyers name was [redacted] and he can take it up with him, the last words that I told [redacted] If you remove the rock I would come back and take care of it. The next thing that I know he is putting up reviews on Google, Facebook, Angie’s List, Yelp, attacking my Christian values. I never told him that I would not finish the job, I told him clearly if he would remove the rock as he promised that he would that I would come back out and fix it. It was his idea to remove the rock, not mine. The reason why the estimates changed is because he had several trees removed, I told [redacted] that grass will not grow with woodships in it, he agreed. I have did everything that was asked of me. Here are the texts from our conversation, after I seen the reviews I sent him a text, That I would not hold any resentment towards him for attacking me on social media. Then replies and calls me names and told me to stop harassing him if I wasn’t going complete the job, this whole time I have never said I wouldn’t finish it, I told clearly if he removed the Rock like he promised and it was his idea then I would fix it
I am rejecting this response because: I do not accept the response from Gary of Garrison’s Landscaping as factual or relevant to resolving the situation. The documentation I received from Gary and what I’ve provided to the Revdex.com clearly shows that rock and DIRT was supposed to be placed in the designated area. I have text documentation that the grass and straw were supposed to be placed over the dirt from the additional job on my lawn. The picture provided earlier clearly shows no dirt. I communicated to Gary that the rock was placed in the WRONG location and is MISSING the DIRT. He argued with me at my home. I did not feel comfortable with his nature and so we agreed that if I personally moved a portion of the rock that he would return and fill the area with dirt. When he finally returned to my home he said the rock hasn’t been moved to his satisfaction. I expressed that I did exactly what was discussed and moved the rock on my own since he wouldn’t. This job is NOT finished. He ADMITS in his response that the job is not finished and will add the dirt when the rock is moved. I’ve since received estimates from other landscapers and the rocks are perfectly placed to keep the dirt from eroding away. All that simply remains is grading in a dump truck of dirt and adding grass and straw. It is apparent to me that Gary refuses to finish the job and make it right. Any reviews that I’ve placed are simply honest reviews from a dissatisfied customer. My only regret is that I made the mistake of paying him in full and believing him to be an honest man. I would prefer not to seek legal action but it appears I have no recourse. I’m willing to accept a compromise that if Gary will simply grade in a dump truck of dirt (sloping downward toward the rocks by the drain) I will place the grass seed and straw myself; as well as take full responsibility for any future erosion. I wish to express my thanks to Revdex.com for attempting to resolve this situation.
