Review: We have two upstairs toilets that will not flush and we wanted a plumber to investigate. A friend gave us the name of this company as someone who could deal with this problem. However this company does not employ plumbers -they employ only people who deal with septic tanks. We have had our septic tank cleaned within the past few years so we did not believe that this was the problem. We asked this man when he arrived at our house if he were a plumber and he said no , that he only dealt with septic tanks. After listening to our complaint, he assured us quite emphatically that this had to be a problem with our septic tank. Trusting him to be an honest man, we allowed him to check out the septic tank which of course turned out not to be the problem. He then presented us with a bill for $150 presumably for checking the level of the septic waste in the tank - he did not clean the tank. When we complained to the [redacted] of the company that we had requested the services of a plumber and that he should not have sent out a septic tank cleaner if he did not employ plumbers,his reply in effect was "Too bad!" So we are out $150 and still have two toilets that do not flush!Desired Settlement: If this business were an honest one which clearly they are not, their worker should not have presented himself as someone who had a solid knowledge of why toilets do not flush. He should not have performed any service in the first place since this was clearly a p;roblem which should first of all been addressed by a plumber. A refund of the entire $150 is in order.

Response:
Spoke with the business over the phone. The company did not know that they were not going to find a problem with the septic tank and so had to take the truck out in case there was a problem. The charge was for the service call and that cannot be refunded. The company does not try to pass themselves off as anything but a septic company, and the last contact they have had with this customer he wrote a letter stating he was sorry and the business still has the letter.
