I would discourage anyone from using this companyI called to schedule a move for Saturday, Nov26th, but they advised that they could only do it on Sunday, Nov27th and I agreed to the date changeOn Saturday I called them to confirm and was advised that all was set for the following dayApproximately an hour before they were scheduled to arrive I got a call to "give me a heads up" that they would not be coming due to a family emergencyI was upset, but I figured that they would come the following morning, but was told that the first day the could move me was not for another eight days, and there dispatcher kept saying I wanted to give you a heads upThe lack of professionalism and poor customer service is a reason that if you are in need of a mover, look elsewhere

We reserved a move for the morning of the 12th with Spartan Van Lines. They called on Sunday the 10th to verify a morning appointment. They were supposed to come between 9 and 10 this morning. When no one showed, I called to get an ETA from them. They told me the movers were finishing up at another job and they would be there within 30 minutes. They called back a few minutes later to tell me there had been a mix up and the movers had just arrived to the drop off site, so it would be another hour and a half. When I mentioned the fact that I booked them for a morning slot and confirmed arrival between 9 and 10, she then informed me that they thought I had a pm move from 12 to 2. I had them look up my reservation... guess what? Reserved morning spot. They apologized, said someone would be there by 12.
I thought fine, mistakes happen, I'll go get lunch. 12:30 rolls around, no call. I call back and the operations manager answers, who then informs me that they're processing payment at the other site and it would only be another 30 minutes or so. I grit my teeth and agree. Finally, at 1:30, I call back AGAIN. The operations manager tells me that the customer before me has the movers booked until 2:15, and then they'll be RIGHT over! Except the movers would still need have needed to drive an hour to get to our place, so they would have arrived at 3:15.
At this point, I tell them point blank that unless they plan on discounting their services, there was no way that I was going to pay (by the hour, mind you) for their movers to show up 6 hours late and then sit in rush hour traffic. He told me that he wasn't going to discount anything and if I wanted to cancel, that was my prerogative. So I canceled.
I don't understand how this business thinks it's okay to operate in this manner. When you have wronged a customer, you don't offer simple platitudes and fake reassurances. You make it right.
I will tell everyone I know that's thinking of moving that Spartan Van Lines is a disreputable company that doesn't care about your time or providing you good customer service.

Service was excellent!! The office staff were very helpful and patient in explaining my move as this was my first time using a professional mover. The cost was affordable and my move went smoother than I could have ever expected!! Great company would recommend them to anybody!!! Thanks Spartan
I recently used Spartan Van Lines to move me from Clearwater to St.Pete. I mostly used them because their special was awesome. I also used them because their representative was sweet and cheerful. I liked not having to put any money up front... I've never heard of that so all of this made me trust them more. They were careful with my items and quick with time. The guys that moved me were professional and mentioned they'd been with this company for years. All in all I had a great move and would refer them to friends. I move at least once a year and wish I had found them prior to this. Thanks again.

I had a great experience with this company. They were on time, professionl adn the price was right. Other comapnies quoted me double what Spartan priced me for HALF of the services they provide. I didnt have any damages like my last move with a higher profile company. No surprises or hidden fees after my move like promised. It was just stress free and I would use them again or recommend them to frends or family. I was please with my experience and kind of wish every moving company did business like how Spartan does! I will say that I am absolutely ecstatic about my move this week! The customer service is wonderful! I spoke to a woman who was happy and cheerful and it stuck out in my mind for days after speaking to other movers! The move went as smooth and I figured and the one guy was also very happy and cheerful. He was really funny and made the move a pleasant experience so I thank him for that. My move was exactly what was described and the price was exactly as quoted. I didnt have any hidden fees, which I was afraid of, and this included taxes and fuel. My experience was great and I will continue to use Spartan Van Lines and also recommend to my friends! Thanks!
