Review: On August 7, 2013 we sent $1200 to [redacted] an associate of Gary Davis Group to perform engineering services. Mr. [redacted] (nor any other employee of GDG) did not do anything to perform any services. On Sept. 23, after much communication to try to get Gary Davis Group to perform the services for which we contracted, we wrote to [redacted] demanding a return of the $800 retainer and the $400 which was to have been used to file application to build with TRPA ($1200 total). [redacted] replied that he would reply to our demand within 3 days. He did not reply. Each time we have written to him since (3 times) he has promised to "take care of it" within 3 days. We never receive any promised reply. We finally wrote to Gary Davis (founder of the firm) on October 29, 2013, asking him to intervene and return our money, and he has refused to reply also. They simply ignore our requests.

Gary Davis Group was contracted by [redacted] (contractor) to provide design and engineering services for the above project. The owners got involved and due to their misunderstanding of the ordinances, rules and procedures, as well and a breakdown in communication, they became too difficult to work with. They requested a refund of their deposit and fee for agency submittal. Gary Davis Group returned $900 of the $1200 that they had given us for the retainer and agency fee. that left us substantially in the hole for the work that we had performed. The client was too difficult to deal with and we agreed to not go any further together.

See attached letter that was sent to the client's contractor with whom we were contracted.

What is worse than a business which takes clients' money, does not perform any services, gives the client false information, refuses to send an accurate invoice, and then refuses to answer the clients' inquiries about the invoice and demands for refund? What is worse is this business which then spreads lies about their clients, while still providing absolutely no proof of their assertions. The clients have proof (records of all correspondence with this company), and are very willing to send the records to Revdex.com to prove our statements. Where is the proof of what this company claims for the lies they are publicizing about the clients? They have none. This is why they are trying to "defend" themselves with slander and lies about their clients. After receiving the complaint from Revdex.com, Gary Davis Group made a partial refund of the money the clients had paid them. But they still kept $300 of it, without sending any justification for keeping the clients' money. Gary Davis Group provided NO services for the client and therefore is not entitled to any payment.

Gary Davis claims that their company contracted with [redacted] but the clients (owners) are the ones who signed the contract and paid Gary Davis Group directly (not [redacted] Gary Davis Group is trying to hide from dealing directly with the clients who hired them by claiming a contract with [redacted] This is a lie. Further, the clients (owners) did not have a misunderstanding of the ordinances, rules or procedures, and have subsequently hired an honest reputable architect who is proceeding with the project according to the correct ordinances, etc., which the clients (owners) understood all along.

Gary Davis now writes that "the clients, became too difficult to deal with", but in fact it is Gary Davis Group which became so difficult to deal with that the clients were the ones who fired Gary Davis Group months ago, and asked for a refund of their deposit months ago, (which Gary Davis Group ignored). Gary Davis Group's response makes it appear that their business terminated dealings with the client, but it was the other way around. This company is not only unscrupulous in their business practices, they are rude and unethical in their responses, publicizing lies about the clients, making false accusations against the clients from whom they have now withheld full refund. Again, this company provided absolutely no services for the clients, then refused for months to give a refund of deposit, then after being contacted by Revdex.com, publicized totally unsubstantiated lies about the clients, and still kept $300 of the clients money.

(Please let us know if we should send the pdf file of all our correspondence with this company, proving the facts we have stated above).

This customer is whacked. We had refunded her correctly. She is so far off on facts that I am not going to waste even another 30 seconds on responding to this crazy complaint.
