First off, we are sorry to hear about Mr. [redacted]'s leak. Unfortunately, we were unable to resolve Mr. [redacted]'s concerns. As listed below, you will see we have been trying to resolve and provide him with the proper information regarding our completed scope of work.In response to the letter from Revdex.com...

dated September 9, 2015, Gary Fox Roofing Inc. is not responsible for Mr. [redacted]'s roof leak. As he states, we were never hired by him or directed by him to repair any potential or active leak(s).Next as shown in our invoice #** dated February 19, 2015 (attached), we never performed any scope to repair any potential or active leak(s). When we never preformed any scope specific to a potential or active leak(s), how can we be responsible. Our invoice specifically lists the following:• Roof Tiles: Repair/Replace all slipped, missing, broken, and dislodged roof tiles as needed.• Seal all vents and flashings as needed.• Patched and resealed (1) flat roof section as needed.• Clean roof of debris as needed.As shown above we completed our scope in February of 2015 and Mr. [redacted]'s first email to contact Gary Fox Roofing Inc. is dated August 30, 2015. Over this 6-month period, there at [redacted].In our email correspondence in regards to Mr. [redacted]'s comments about his home inspection and Ozone Roofing Company, we stated the following:• "We were never privilege to any prior knowledge of any existing leaks and we never had access into the dwelling to verify any leaks. We were directed to do some maintenance scope, which does not include repairing any leaks." Dated September 2, 2015 “We were never given approval to proceed with Ozone Roofing's Estimate nor did we reference Ozone Roofing's Report in our reports or estimate.” Dated August 31, 2015Additionally, as listed in the emails, we never received a proper response to what Mr. [redacted] specifically wanted from Gary Fox Roofing. Review: I bought my current house in Feb 2015, we had the house inspected by a professional inspector and a licensed roofing company and they wrote their recommendation as far as the roof tile and repairs and the report was sent to the seller agent who hired Gary Roofing to do the repairs and he did and we had a wall in the master bathroom had signs of previous roof leak, I hired a contractor to repair it assuming the roofer repaired the roof, the day the contractor finished the repairs in July the rain started and water was pouring through the roof through the just repaired wall, It took about one month to finish the repairs because we had to run a dehumidifier for 12 days and prevent molds. I contacted Gary roofing after it leaked and they came and they found torn tar papers and other issues apparently that was causing the initial leak and was not repaired, then I contacted the roofing company who did the initial inspection and they said NO MUCH REPAIRS WAS DONE AND GARY FOX ROOFING JUST GLUED SOME BROKEN TILES AND DID NOT FOLLOW ANY OF THEIR RECOMMENDATIONS , the repairs costed $2300, I contacted them and they said that they never contracted with me they just did some maint. to the roof to the previous owner, I have all document and receipts from them including 2 years warrenty for the repairs and from the contractor who did the repairs (INDICATING THAT WAS AN OLD LEAK) and the initial recommendation by the inspector and the rooferDesired Settlement: Gary Fox should be liable for the repairs, resulted from his incomplete work
