I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 9897008, and find that this resolution would be satisfactory to me.  I consider this complaint resolved.

Gary's is awful. He called us the day of the move to tell us that he had a more important customer and would not be delivering our piano until the following day. When I asked why he prioritized another customer over us he giggled like a little weasel and told us that our piano isn't as expensive as the one he was dealing with in lieu. He is a phenomenally poor business man and I'd absolutely never recommend a conversation with this rude mn, much less a purchase of his services.

Review: Gary's Piano delivered a piano from a church to our house. I was told by a member of the church that Gary's would be delivering a piano to the same church (which would include payment), but there would be no charge to move the current piano in the church to my residence. I had a representative when the piano was moved to my house, but Gary's Piano never said anything about payment for services until AFTER the service (ie. the piano was in my house). My issue is that we were told the service cost AFTER the service was provided. This is not good business practice. We were initially told (by a third party at the church) that there would be no fee because the church was already paying Gary to deliver a piano to the church. If I had known there would be a charge, I would have talked to friends and family about moving the piano instead of having Gary's Piano do it.

My representative had to write a check on the spot once the piano was in my house, so it was unexpected and surprising when I got a phone call saying we owed them $100 right then.

I initially called Gary's and left a voicemail, waited a week, sent an email, waited another week, sent another email before getting a response from Gary. Gary keeps talking about the price, but my issue is about not informing the consumer about the cost of a service until after the service is complete. This information would have changed my decision.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the $100. If Gary would like to come pick up the piano and take it back to its original location, please let me know.
