The company turned the account over to collections though payments were being made.I received services from a physician as Gastro One approximately three years ago. I was laid off and was unable to make payments on the account. My husband agreed to take over the account in May 2013. The agreement was $50/month with $25 going to pay the doctor and $25 going to pay for the facility for a colonoscopy I received. My husband made the payments as he agreed. However, Gastro One turned the account over to collections a month ago though the balance was $210 which proved that my husband paid the $50 monthly. The balance was $810 when he took it over. In addition, the organization fails to submit checks for payment within a proper time frame. They hold checks for at least 30 days before sending them to the bank. They claimed that my husband had not paid April 2014 which is an untruth. He sent the check around April 2, 2014 and they didn't cash it until May. However, the check he sent to the collection agency was cashed within 2 days. I do not understand why they would send this account to collections when my husband upheld the payment agreement. [redacted] in the billing department could not give us a reasonable explanation for turning the account over since it was being paid. She also implied that we were not paying the $50 a month which couldn't be the case if the balance is $210. My husband paid $50 for twelve months which is $600 so how could he have not paid what was agreed.Desired SettlementI would like the account removed from collections. I also do not want this reported to any of the credit bureaus. Gastro One reneged on the deal and not my husband. He made the payments as agreed and Gastro One accepted each payment. This company has terrible customer service.
I overpaid the company $250 because they said that is what my colonoscopy would cost. I was charged before they would perform the procedure, which took over twice as long as they said to expect (4 1/2 total hours instead of 2). The insurance company reimbursed them and they made NO attempt to contact me. Is that even legal?
Three months later I called to get an invoice of the payment to file for taxes and was informed that money was an excess payment at that time. I requested a refund. Three days later... no word. I called again, left a message and was finally issued a refund with no message or apology or follow up from them.
In my follow up appointment I sat in the waiting room for over an hour and a half past my scheduled appointment time. Save yourself time and money and do not go to this business.","neg-1
