Terrible Place
Do not buy anything from Gate Furniture unless you want to deal with a series of lies, deceit, and excuses. We were shopping for a reclining living room set, with the primary criteria being that the items must be in-stock for delivery the next business day. We stumbled upon Gate Furniture through a series of fraudulent Offer Up profiles. After reaching out, they verified that they had the sofa and loveseat in stock. I traveled to the store, about an hour from my house on Friday. After arriving, the showroom was a complete mess, but I was helped and told the sofa and loveseat were in stock and would be delivered as soon as Monday. We completed the transaction, which included paid delivery.
On Monday, around 1:30 PM, I had not yet heard from the delivery crew. I began making phone calls to the store. Altogether, I called the store 21, yes, twenty-one, times between 1:52 PM and 4:39 PM on Monday 11/16, and no one answered. After the calls going unanswered, I finally got a call back from a gentleman declaring himself to be with Gate Furniture. He told me that he spoke with the store, and the delivery would occur on Tuesday, 11/17. I decided that it was not sufficient given the hassle I had to go through and made another trip to the store. After arriving, I was greeted by a woman who then made a phone call after providing my order number. The person who answered the phone loudly told the woman that the order wouldn't be delivered until Wednesday. So now we've gone from Monday to Tuesday to Wednesday.
I told the woman that it would be unacceptable, and the order needs to arrive by Tuesday or cancel it altogether. I then left and made the hour drive back home, furious. Upon arriving home, I received an email from a generic Gate Furniture email address ([email protected]) from someone that never provided their name. This email says that the best they can do is Wednesday and offers a litany of excuses for why the order was not delivered as promised.
I replied to that email and told them that I would cancel the sofa and loveseat could not be delivered on Tuesday. I received a reply almost immediately stating that it couldn't be delivered on Tuesday and offered two of the cheapest lamps on their website. I then replied and offered to pick the sofa and loveseat up. U-haul provides a $19.99 truck with a $0.99/mile charge. After I mapped the commute, it would be about 103 miles. The total before tax and cost to refill the tank in the truck was $121.96. I told the person behind the email that it's about a $50 difference between the delivery price and the cost for me to rent a truck to pick up the order. I asked for that total and said that I would cover tax and refuel the truck. The anonymous person behind the email said that the offer was unacceptable. Since declining such a generous offer made no sense, I replied, to be clear, you're saying that you cannot OK a $50 difference between the cost for me to pick up the furniture and what your company charges? This is even though I was guaranteed a Monday delivery for in-stock furniture? And yet, you're saying that Wednesday is somehow supposed to be acceptable when Monday was guaranteed? And even though you're offering $100 in lamps when the cost difference is half of that? The person responded, yes.
I will not be waiting. I declined their lamp offer and waiting until Wednesday. I sincerely hope that you do not fall for Gate Furniture. They are terrible! They have pitiful customer service, make promises they cannot keep, and have delivery schedules that only exist to make a quick sell with no intention of ensuring the customer receives their products on the guaranteed date.
Do not give these people your money! They deserve to be out of business for running such a fraudulent company.

Stated that we would receive a full refund if we returned our sectional couch back on open and untampered. We return the couch back and they didn't provide us a full refund. Called them and talk to them about giving us a full refund and they stated that they would not give us a full refund even though they said that they would give us one. They said we can either replace the couch or get a full refund if we didn't open it and we didn't open it returned it and I chose the full refund but they didn't give us a full refund and they kept ignoring my phone calls. They would not answer any of my or my girlfriends questions and we're very rude.
