Gateway financial is calling and threatening to garnish my wages at 7:30 in the morning for a death that I've been paying on for at least seven years consistently. I am not sure if they are scammers or not, but they are calling my parents and threatening me and then they are calling me and threatening me with legal trouble. I received no notification in the mail about any issues with any of my payments for the debt on the credit card that I owe but all of a sudden I get these phone calls out of the blue telling me I owe much more than I actually do.
No further contact by the busi I do not want to be contacted by this business ever again. If this is even a legitimate business, I don't want them harassing my family and I'm sick of them harassing me because it stresses me out and it gives me anxiety and I definitely do not need that in my life. I think that they are just lying to me to see if I will pay an exorbitant amount of money over the phone without them actually verifying any of my information and when I hang up on them they call me back several times in a row.
