There was a small amount of damage to the dash and A Pillar from removing them to perform the recall It is an year old vehicle with 130,miles on it The damage can be fixed We offered to repair the very small amount of damage without having to replace the entire dash and A pillar He called Chrysler and they agreed that we shouldn't replace the dash and A Pillar Our offer still stands We will have the areas which have very minimal damage repaired at no cost to him

Ms***'s original contract was declined after the bank tried to verify employment She was not working at one of the jobs she listed on her application The bank offered to finance the car at a higher interest rate due to her changed employment status That was the new contract
that she referred to We absorbed some of the difference as an attempt to make the new contract more agreeable to her She refused She signed a Spot Delivery form that explains her obligation to return the vehicle if financing can't be secured We explained that she would need to return the car and we would refund her full deposit if the car was returned in good condition She refused We began the repossession process and explained that any expense would be deducted from her deposit Within a day of those communications, the bank sent us notification that they would approve the original contract They have since paid us We don't know why they changed their position and funded the contract We didn't ask for an explanation Ms*** gets to keep the car but she can't have the deposit back It is part of the signed agreement

]First off this is the first I have heard of an offer to repair itSecond I don't see what age or mileage has to do with this issueIf they were so big on admitting the error and wanting to fix it why was that not mentioned in the initial conversationTheir offer also requires me to take another day off of work so the statement about not costing me anything isn't trueWe also have the issue of the attitude of the service/parts Manager at the initial incidentI have yet to hear an apology for the damage or the way I was treated.

Mr*** purchased his truck from an individual. The previous owner had removed the emissions system and had software installed that overrode the vehicle's recognition that the equipment was not there. This allowed the vehicle to operate properly without the indicator lights showing
that there was a problem. When we performed the recall that Mr*** asked us to complete, the software was deleted as part of the recalls resetting of the system. The indicator lights are now on because the software is no longer overriding the system. Mr*** wants us to override the indicator lights. This is illegal and would open us up to fines for bypassing the emissions system. I explained to Mr*** that there are two solutions to his problem. One, re-install the proper and legal emissions equipment and restore the truck to a legal status. We can do that work for him but he would have to pay for it. Two, purchase the illegal software and find someone to install it for him to bypass the emissions system and cause the indicator lights to go out. We will not participate in that process.
No one here has been anything but polite to Mr***. When I explained our position, he said that he understood and would never ask us to do anything illegal but that is exactly what he is asking of us. We understand that Mr*** purchased a very expensive used truck and didn't really know what he was getting. His complaint should be focused toward the individual who sold him the truck and did not provide the software that had been installed. If he had the original software, he could re-install it on the truck and restore the truck to the condition it was in before the recall was performed
Please contact me or *** *** if you have any further questions

Mr [redacted] is correct that we did not negotiate the price of the car.  We price our cars so that they are very competitive and as a result, depending on the car and the length of time it has been in inventory, we don't adjust the price.  This particular car was new to our inventory and had a...

value that met or exceeded our advertised price.  We sold this car the next day at the same price that Mr. [redacted] was offered.  I am very sorry that he perceived this as being rude.  Negotiation of price on cars is becoming less of a factor in our business because we price everything on the internet and our competitors see that and price their cars "just a little lower".  The negotiation is happening between the dealers.  In the long run, this is good for the consumer.  Today's consumers have indicated that they would like to avoid negotiation.  It will take time for the consumer to trust that we are adjusting our pricing structures to accomodate that request but over time it will happen. We would be very happy to talk to Mr. [redacted] about any of our cars that fit his price requirements.[redacted]
