To Whom It May Concern:
This letter is in responds to complaint #[redacted].
[redacted] and her husband, [redacted], moved into Gateway on Gilbert in June 2014.  Within a very short period of time their surrounding neighbors made several complaints regarding noise.  The issue became...

so severe we were going to evict them but instead, we attempted to accommodate the [redacted] by allowing them to transfer to another apartment downstairs without charging them our standard transfer fee of $300.
Before and during their transfer, it was made very clear to them they needed to return the apartment back to the condition they received it in; cleaned, carpets cleaned, and the apartment without damage.  Upon move out, we inspected the apartment to find they left it in a very poor condition.  The unit was not cleaned at all, with ice cream melted all over the kitchen countertops, the carpet severely damaged and stained, some of the vertical blinds destroyed from breaks and tears, and several areas where someone peeled the paint off the walls.  Considering the [redacted] were in their original apartment, [redacted], for less than 90 days, there should have been no reason for their apartment to be left in such a poor condition.
As per Arizona Residential Landlord Tenant Act, we mailed to their new apartment, [redacted], a move out security deposit statement detailing the final move out charges which included a credit for 7 days for a move out date of 9/23/14, final utility cost, cleaning, and carpet cleaning charges.  Their total charges came to $267.12 and their $150 security deposit was applied to their charges leaving them with a small balance of $117.12.
Attached are all the supporting documents sent to the [redacted].  I am unsure as to why she feels she has been treated unfairly considering we have accommodated them as much as possible and even gave them several price breaks on the transfer fee and the move out charges.  It is quite unfortunate she feels the need to report us to the [redacted] considering we have made so many accommodations and are simply following the terms of the lease agreement she and her husband signed.
For your review, please find attached all the documentation sent to the [redacted] after they moved out.
