She did lose her Medicaid. At that time we wanted to take her braces us and would not let us. She came back 9 years later, still with the braces on, and she said she wanted to pay for retainers. We took the braces off and allowed her to get retainers. She pays the amount and she is given and a...
couple months later, before she lost her retainers, she called and stated her Medicaid said we had no business charging her. She said I am coming back up there because I want my records. I called Medicaid and they said they never told her that and could barely find her because she hasn’t had Medicaid in almost 10 years. She was rude when she spoke to me. She called back again and said she lost her retainers and wanted another set. I told her the last time she called she was rude and accusing our office of incorrectly charging her and she stated they did tell her that. I do not feel comfortable making another set of retainers for her since there was still a dispute with the first one. She called me names and was rude on the phone so I ended the call. I told her before I hung up if she called back again I would call the police. We would prefer not to do business with her. We have nothing to resolve with Medicaid because she has been off Medicaid for 10 years and that they never talked to her. As far as the mold, when we do molds, we submit the entire mold to the lab. They do not hold on to the impressions as they do not space. We do not ask to have them stored also because it is possible that in time someone’s teeth may shift and then we may make a $600 retainer that does not fit a person’s mouth. I tried explaining that to her and she wouldn’t listen.
