Gateway Pet Grooming

I have used Gateway Pet Grooming for several years***, the former owner was wonderfulThe only groomer my little one actually enjoyed going toAfter *** retired and sold the business to one of the groomers that had worked with her, things started to get strangeThe first thing I noticed was that every time he would come home from there he would have fleas on him even though he is treated for them on a regular basisThen he would come home with nicks and cuts and the grooming looked very unprofessionalThey offered to correct it but I was leaving townJust yesterday ( 10-7-) I dropped him off at 9:a.mfor his groomingThis usually only takes a little over an hour so I just do some shopping while I waitWhen my husband and I realized it had been hours I called to check on himI was told they were having some difficulties with him but he should be ready in about minutesWhen I walked in to pick him up, the other groomer was screaming at the small dog she was grooming and smacking himShe continued this behavior the entire time I was thereI was shocked when I saw what they had done to my dogHe is a long haired Chihuahua and they shaved him! They cut all of the hair off of his ears inside and out, cut his whiskers off and even his eyelashesWhy would you cut his eyelashes off? She told me he had bitten her, I would like to know what she did to him to cause that (maybe it was because she was cutting his eyelashes, I think I would have to bite someone that tried to cut mine off)And I'm still not sure what she did to him, as he has been very skiddish and is not himselfHe acts like he is afraid of everyone, and that is the complete opposite of his personalityI have a feeling she hit himI do not recommend Gateway to anyone now that *** is goneThe new owners are horrible, mean and abusive!!!! PLEASE, don't trust your pets to them
