In response to the above mentioned complaint number, the check was mailed out on Friday, August 29,
2014. The recipient called five days later explaining that the check was not received. Due to the holiday
weekend, we thought a little more time was needed, in anticipation for the check to...

surface.
Since the check has not been received to date, a stop payment will be issued on the check, at no charge
to the recipient. A new check will be reissued and it is our understanding that the recipient will pick the
check up at our facility on Thursday, October 2, 2014.

Review: I was discharged from Gateway/Sheffield rehabilitation on August 21 2014, and was stated by staff there that I would get my refund check in the amount of 97.80 mailed to me the following week. So I called on Sept 3 to inquiring about my check and spoke with [redacted], she had stated to me that she mailed it on August 29, 2014 which was on a Friday. So I had asked her a couple days later about if my check never arrives then what happens? She stated that if the check needed a stop payment on it then I would have to pay the stop payment fee of 37.00. I did not agree to the rules of me having to pay the stop payment fee. She stated that the check was good for 6 months and basically I could get it anytime within that six months. She also stated that this was the banks rules of stop payment of a check. I stated to her that I feel that it should not be my responsibility to pay the 37.00 stop payment fee on the check. So here it is now September 23, 2014 and I still never recieved it. I did contact Mr. [redacted] at ext [redacted] at the [redacted] of Pittsburgh and he stated that I should wait a couple of more days to see if it will come. He is also aware of the issue of my check.Desired Settlement: All I want is my check to be given to me by certified mail and they pay for the stop payment fee on my missing check.
