The consumer went to gators garage in need of a new engineGator’s had two used engines they offered the consumerThe first was high mileage used engine which did not come with any motorThe second used engine was lower mileage and came with a day warrantyThe second engine was $more, so
the consumer chose to purchase the first high mileage used engine with no warrantyGator’s installed the engine and it appeared to have an issue with the timingGator’s offered to repair the issue but it would have taken another dayThe consumer was in a hurry to return home and refused the extra repairAfter the consumer returned home they took the vehicle to their mechanicThey then called Gator’s to complain about the engineGator’s offered first that if the consumer brought the vehicle back to the shop they would conduct the repairsThey would only charge the customer for labor and cover the cost of parts themselvesThe consumer refusedGators then offered to send the consumer a new used engine at Gator’s costGator’s would not cover the labor for the other shopThe consumer again refusedThe issues with the motor and the fact that it had no warranty were disclosed to the consumer

I am rejecting this response because: First there is a number of information in their responseMost of it just comes down to word vswordBut in regards to warranty there was no explanation it did not have a warrantyIn fact the receipt given to us has small print stating their is a warranty on parts and laborTheir is no disclaimer we signed indicating there was not a warrantySo I have documentation proving that and can furnish it whereas they can not. Secondly: I have contacted the shop offering to accept a used engine sent to us at their costThey have not offered that previously but since they are claiming they did I am willing to accept thatThe shop said they wanted to speak with their lawyer and Revdex.com first before they offered anythingI said that was fine but made it aware I was willing to accept what they were claiming to offerShop mechanic Mitch said they were contacting a lawyer because I was "being sy about it"Calmly explained I have always kept my calm and refrained from language and was just trying to resolve the situation reasonablyInformed him I expect to hear back from them
