GB Collects

Review: GB Collects, LLC has been sending us collection letters and making calls for something we do not know. [redacted] Management (USA) of Ohio forwarded what they call "unpaid balance" to GB Collects, LLC and they have been harassing us since. When I received the letter and a call, I told them that I had never received a bill of what they are referring, and because they said it was the difference found during worker's compensation audit, I requested they forward me the audit result to verify. They never did because they said [redacted] had the information and they were just the collection agency. Our insurance agent Lead Ways Associates of Bloomingdale, IL contacted [redacted] but could not get the response they wished (forwarding audit results) and previously have had communication issue with [redacted]. Because no one provided the information to us, we complained that we can't make a payment unless they give us the full details of the audit for verification, but they kept sending me collection letters and ignored our request. They sent us a "Final Demand" letter for payment (which I received it on September 6, 2011), and they are threatening us to make a payment by September 9, 2011 or else [redacted] will proceed with a local attorney for immediate action. I reinstate that we've never received a bill, a letter, or a reminder from [redacted] for non-payment and it directly went to collection agency without fair business practice.

Response:

[redacted] had claimed that we never sent her docs and has no idea what this is for which is not true. We sent her and her agent docs that she requested. [redacted] had a policy which was auditable at the end of the policy period. At the end of the policy, an audit was done which entailed in an audit premium due. Back in July 2009, their agent reviewed all the docs and even offered a $5300 settlement. We left several messages for [redacted] but she has not returned any of our calls. The agent returned our calls and we sent them the docs they requested but never returned any calls then. The account is closed and returned to my client.
