G.B. Paving Corp

Review: I have a contract with G.B. Paving to do my driveway and pathway + the front step of my house. The contractor, [redacted], told me that the driveway was $3500 and the pathway and front step $1500. 50% deposit was require which he requested to be cash. He brought an invoice for the $2500.. I gave him the cash and he signed it as the receipt. [redacted] did not tell me that he was going to use my front lawn and ruin it to be able to do this job. when I talked to him about it he told me that he would repair my lawn when the job was done. He finished the driveway, I was home when he started the pathway and the step in front of the house. I noticed that he was covering the whole step with cement, I came out to talk to him and let him know that the agreement was that he was going to remove and replace the step. he told me that he could not do that because that was going to cost me much more perhaps $3500.00. we talked about the pathway also since I noticed that he had remove part of it, but not all of the long cement blocks. he told me that he was not going to remove them that he was going to pour cement over it. I told him to stop the job because that was not the agreement. he talked for over half hour to try to convice me that what he was going to do was good and that I was going to like it. Again, I told him to stop the job since he was not to following the contract. The agreement was to remove the existing work and to replace it with same type of long cement blocks to match the ones there. I have called him a few times and he tells me that he is going to bring the updated paperwork, but he has not done that yet. last week he came with a different invoice, for $1500 which I did not pay. He claimed that there was a $500 cement charge that he ordered and had to cancel. Again, I reminded him that I never asked for cement to be pour over the existing blocks that are there and that they were supposed to be removed and replaced.. [redacted] threatened me to put a lean on my house if I did not pay him all the money, he ruined my lawn and refuses to repair it, the pathway is full of gravel and not safe to walk. I have not heard from him since a week ago.Desired Settlement: I am looking for an invoice that shows the charges of the driveway for $3,500 minus the deposit of $2500., I am looking for something that shows no charge for the pathway that was not done and cancelled by me, the customer, since he cannot or is not willing to follow the contract, so I can get someone else to fix my pathway and front step. I would like him to fix my lawn or deduct from the balance I owe him a $1,000 for the driveway, so that I can get someone else to fix my lawn.

Review: This paving company sealed my neighbor's side of our shared driveway. They blew leaves from the driveway onto my rear deck, front porch and sidewalk. They left a mess and did not clean up my property when completing the requested neighbor's work.Desired Settlement: As they have left a leafy mess that I am forced to clean as it will be tracked into my home if I do not (it is now wet leaves and debris), I want the rest of the driveway sealed that is located "on my property". They advertise "We work with homeowners to keep your property looking professional." Their finished product certainly is not professional when they left a mess on a neighboring property.
