(mind you anytime I say "called" this means left a message they have not once answered their phone)On April 5th 2012 I called my landlord [redacted] of Goodale and Barberie to ask if my monthly payment would be going up when my lease ended on the 30th of Aprile. She told me that it would be going up $5.00 a month.. I told her that should be fine and that I would get back to her. On the 7th of April I called and asked [redacted] to send us a 1year lease agreement. On the 8th of April I recieved my agreement in which stated my "rent" rent would be going up $35.00, Pet rent going up $10 per dog, Utilities going up $75, and parking fee going from 0 to $10. I again left a message asking to explain why it had gone up $135 when I was told on the phone it would only be going up $5.00On the 10th of April 2012 a letter was left on our door explaining all the up charges and that she had "accidently" assumed I had a one bedroom and not a two bedroom apartment when we talked on the phone. ALSO at the end of the letter read "You have till the end of the day to inform us if you plan on vacating the premises" That left us with about 5 hours to find another apartment or find a way to mak an extra $135 a month. They are now telling us that we are required to pay the full month of May's rent even though we were given NO notice as to when out lease would expire I had to call and ask.I then called again on the 14th of April 2012 asking if they could Prorate our rent for May for only 2 weeks. since we will be moving out before the 21st. They then responded (via text message which I did not give approval to contact me this way as it can accrue charges) That they cannot prorate.
