Review: I set out to look for a cheap and decent moving company and I got otherwise. I contact g&c on 7/25/13 about needing movers to help move my furniture into my apartment. I spoke with [redacted] and told him I needed help moving my furniture out of my storage unit onto my [redacted] and then from my [redacted] to my apartment.he asked where was my storage unit at and if I can text him the storage address, which I did. he told me I can either use a flat rate or by the hour and when I asked him the flat rate for 3 movers he quoted something around 500 dollars. when I asked him about the hourly rate for 3 movers instead, he said 85 dollars an hour for the 3 movers. so then I told him instead can they just meet me at my house and help me unload my [redacted] and he said "ok". so I scheduled the appt for 2 pm on 7/26/13 and the movers were to meet me at my house. so the next day I get my [redacted] and grab my items out of the storage unit. at 1:30 I call g&c to let them know that I may run late if I could push the meet time to 3, they said they would have to contact the driver because they already left and at that time I realized that they were bringing a truck I didnt need. I asked about that and the person on the phone said that their truck is no cost and although they are on the way theres no travel charge and that they only charge after their start time of 2. as soon as I left my storage unit to meet them at my house there they were in the storage parking lot waiting on me when they were supposed to be at my house. so I waited til 2 and had them load some more things outta my storage then we headed to my home to unload the 2 trucks.3 and a half hrs passed and they were wrapping it up when I asked [redacted], who was there as a boss and whom I spoke with on the phone, "thats 340 I owe you, right?" when he replied no and that they charge a minimum of 4 hrs and 1 hour travel time. THIS is where the trouble is. I was not told this when I talked to him on the phone,I did not need a truck, and I was told no truck feesDesired Settlement: I would like for this company be looked into more. I was provided with no solid information.they are trying to charge me for their mistakes.I told them 3 times that I need help unloading my truck at my apt and they still came to my storage, I should not have to pay a travel time fee if they are already driving within the hourly pay im giving them, plus the dispatcher on the phone said the truck is free and I only pay for their services after 2 and thats what I paid for $85 x 4hrs= 340.

Response:

Well in that case I would like a full refund of $340 for the stress, unprofessionalism, and bad service recieved by G&C Multiservices and [redacted]
