Initial Business Response / [redacted] (1000, 5, 2014/10/16) */ Contact Name and Title: [redacted] GM Contact Phone: XXXXXXXXXX Contact Email: ***@gcprochicago.com We are a preferred vendor for Contractor Connection which was mentioned in the complaint by the customerWe received an assignment through Contractor connection and per the original description which we included in an attachment the instructions stated "tear down and haul away old roofing and gutter and downspout build new roof, new gutter, new downspout, and replace rotted wood on 2nd fl balcony with staining and waterproof paint" per our initial inspection and per the instructions there was never a discussion in regards to the chimneyUpon completion of the repairs the customer stated that he would like for us to either remove the chimney or fix it, however at this point all the work had already been completedOur project manager [redacted] explained to the customer that this would be an additional cost and was not included in the original estimateAt this time the customer explained to us that maybe he will have it taken care of next time In regards to the Certificate of Satisfaction which was presented to the customer upon completion of the workOur project manager met with the customer and provided him a blank Certificate of SatisfactionPrior to the customer signing the certificate our project manager filled out the blanks as requested by the customer which the customer signed the Certificate of satisfaction at that time indicating that everything is satisfactory In regards to the payment, as soon as it was processed by our company we provided invoices that said they were paid in full and receipts to the customer by email which we have also attached We have also attached the contract that was signed by the customer which does not specify anything regarding the chimney other than providing flashing for the chimney which was completed Please let me know if you have any further questions or concerns regarding this matter Initial Consumer Rebuttal / [redacted] (3000, 8, 2014/10/17) */ (The consumer indicated he/she DID NOT accept the response from the business.) As per our previous comment. Our positions will stay the same. The chimney work was not included in our proposal which was agreed to and signed by the customer. We went above and beyond as previously mentioned and completed lots of additional work free of charge. We explained to the customer that the chimney work would be an additional charge and we can provide an estimate for same. The customer at that time signed our Certificate of Satisfaction to show that they are satisfied in regards to the work that was completed. All the paperwork has been attached to this response showing proof that the chimney repairs were never mentioned in the signed proposal
