GCS Restoration

Review: My wife and I recently purchased our first home together last year end of June, 2014. One of the things that the seller agreed to do was pay for a new roof which he did. We were very happy, and excited with our new purchase and with the relief that we would have a new roof to last a long time. The seller hired [redacted] S. [redacted] and [redacted], who own/work for GCS Restoration Inc. They "completed" the job just as we were getting ready to move in, maybe the week of or after we moved in. When the job was "finished", my wife and I noticed nails coming through the ceiling of the perimeter of the home sticking out which left them exposed and ruined the paint and wood. [redacted] and [redacted] assured us that this was a simple repair and that they would take care of it the following week and shave the nails and repaint the damage. They never showed up. I tried calling and text messaging them and no response. I went on the roof to evaluate the work they had done with my father who is a general contractor and familiar with these types of jobs. He pointed out lots of nails exposed on the roof which he explained is not the correct way to have them because the weather will cause them to slowly come out and lead to leaks or roof damage. I then tried contacting [redacted] and [redacted] again not only for the previous repairs they failed to finish/complete, but for the exposed nails as well. After a few months I was finally contacted back from them and we set up a date and time for them to come out. [redacted] said he would meet me so I took the day off from work in order to make sure I could show him our issues so that they could be corrected. He never showed up, he did not call or message me to cancel and when I tried calling there was no response. This went on for a few more weeks and finally he contacted me again and we set up another date. Once again, I stayed home to meet him to go over everything and he did not show up again! I could not believe that he could be so unprofessional and treat his clients in such a way.Desired Settlement: We want our roof repaired correctly and properly so that there are no more leaks in our home. We want the laminate floor repaired where the water leaked inside and caused it to bubble up. We want all the damage done to our home to be repaired at the company's expense for faulty workmanship. We want the home tested for mold due to the leaks. We have 2 young children and are worried for their health and our own health. We also want the guarantee/warranty to begin again on new completion date.
