Review: I had this company re-plaster my pool, they verbally guaranteed the plaster for 5-7 years, and 2 years after the installation, the plaster cracked on the steps going into the pool. They stated that the concrete under the steps must have eroded and that the steps had to be re-built. Upon removal of the plaster, the steps were fine, there had been no erosion, simply a plaster failure. Once confirmed they still charged me to repair the faulty plaster they guaranteed for 5 years.Desired Settlement: I would like a refund of the money spent on the repair $900.00, as the issue was due to poor installation and not caused by the pool nor anything that I could have done.

Response:
It is a fact that the we had to repair the costumer's plaster, but there are a few details he is leaving out. When we originally re-plaster the warranty was only for one year for repairs with no charge, since used standard plaster. The cracking of the plaster happened about two after the re-plastering, that's why we had to charge him. Another detail he left out wast that when we went to see the cracked plaster, the pool was empty. That would automatically void the warranty, if he had one at the time, since re-plastered pools need to be always hydrated so they don't suffer damage. When we originally bid for the new pool repair, we gave him a bid of $2,200, which we immediately reduced to $1,100, since he was a former customer. He fully accepted the $1,100 bid. Once we went on with the repair, we realized that there was not structural damage to the steps, so we reduced the charge for the repair even more, to bring the total charge to only $900. This shows that we were willing to negotiate with him in order to get him a price he was ok with. After the job was completed he seemed satisfied with the result, since he actually paid for the job. One would think that if he wasn't satisfied he wouldn't done that. For us, the complaint seemed to come out of the blue, since he did not contact us right after the job to show his dissatisfaction. Hopefully this response would help clear things out and help reach everybody to a satisfactory outcome.
