Review: I was told that I was approved for a rental property and I asked could I bring in the deposit the next day because I was at work when I got the call. I was told yes, only to get to the office and the property had been given to someone else. I had already given my place notice that I would be moving and I do not think thats it right to tell someone they are approved for a rental and not give them at least 24 hrs to return to the office. I would like my application fee refunded because I feel they were very misleading and was only trying to collect as many application fees as they could.Desired Settlement: I would like my application fee of 32 dollars refunded.

I spoke with [redacted] from the company. The company works off of first come first serve basis. He stated the customer applied for the property. The company received a second application for the property and called the customer advising them that there was another applicant so whoever brings in their deposit first will be the one who gets the property. The other applicant came in with the deposit and the company called and advised the customer of this. The customer came in the next day to bring in her deposit but the property had already been given to the other applicant. The application fee is a non refundable fee and the customer was advised of this. The company feels like they notified the customer accordingly and will not be refunding the customer.
