I took my oil pan to be welded, twice they failed to fix the problem, they finally got gas, fixed it, but then more and more problems came up.we got our oil pan welded here, the first 2 times, they didn't do it right, so we had to wait a 3rd time for them to order and get gas inorder to weld it correctly. The first time we took it in, we took the oil pan off, after that they took the oil pan off since it was the 3rd time. They then drained the oil, and took the oil pan gasket off, when they fixed the weld, they then put the gasket back on incorrectly, and then put the oil pan back on, and failed to torque it.They also didn't put the correct amount of oil back into the vehicle and didn't bother telling us. we then drove 11 miles, and the car was smoking pretty bad. we got into a parking lot, jacked the vehicle up and oil was every where and the gasket was torn, we then had to have the vehicle towed back to gear headz and spoke with the owners son, who said he would do the work. Come to find out he did not do the work as promised. After this, my girlfriend went back up there to speak with them, asked for their certifications and she found out that a few of the workers weren't certified to be working on vehicles. She then asked them for the correct oil to put in the vehicle to top it off, and they bought the wrong kind, and told her to deal with it. The manager has failed to call her back every time. I am now having more problems with my vehicle, due to the lack of oil in the car, my rings in the vehicles are now leaking, which they weren't before. They also have one of the workers, one that isn't certified, to be living at the facility. Desired SettlementWe would like all the problems they caused, to be fixed. we would like the correct oil in our vehicle, we would like them to apologize, and we would also like them to get their certifications.

I took my car to Gear Headz in April 2013 for a transmission rebuild. Within a week of getting the car back, one of the transmission hoses broke loose, spilling fluid on the interstate and requiring a tow to return my Jeep to their lot for replacement. Within a couple of months I began experiencing problems with the reverse, which would sporadically not work. I took the Jeep back three more times, receiving suggestions like "add more transmission fluid" or "warm up car before backing up" and "we can't find anything wrong with your vehicle." In February 2014, once again the reverse didn't work properly. I put it into reverse, it wouldn't move. As I was getting out of the car (after putting it into park), it went into reverse on its own, dragging me and the car into the retention pond at my work. I nearly drowned in the experience. The car needed to be towed back to Gear Headz, whereupon I was told the transmission was rebuilt. In May 2014, I noticed the 2nd gear was slipping/not catching and once again I returned the car to Gear Headz. I was told I needed to come up with another $1500 for them to rebuild the transmission/labor costs. I decided that I don't trust these people to do any more work on my and am now trying to get it towed from their site to a more reputable transmission service. When the tow truck arrived, no one was there to allow the tow company to take my car off the lot.Product_Or_Service: transmission rebultDesired SettlementI want a refund of the monies spent to allegedly repair the transmission in the first place and I want to remove my car from their property. I believe that Gear Headz should pay the cost to tow my vehicle to [redacted], since when I brought my car there, it was still running, but now that the transmission has been removed and there are missing parts, it cannot be driven off their lot.

I am an ASE certified mechanic, and these guys should not be working on vehicles professionally. Trusted my vehicle to them during work ups for a deployment so I was corresponding over email for all this work. Had a limited slip differential, ring and pinion, and new bearings put in the rear end. They ordered and installed the wrong gear ratio (it's a 4X4 so this is [redacted] important) even after I told them I knew that my truck never had a factory option for 3:1 gears; he insisted that is what it had and installed it. Not only was the pinion seal leaking when I picked it up, I had to argue with him when I got back that the gear ratio was wrong, prove it to him by engaging the four-wheel-drive on asphalt and letting him see that the truck wouldn't move. When they did "fix" it, they crushed one of the axle seals during re-installation and it leaked gear oil all over my drum brakes, ruining them. At this point I decided I was not going to let them touch it again and do the fix myself. I discovered when I removed the axle bearing, that they had nicked the axle about 1/8" deep with a grinder during removal of the old bearing, big no no for structural integrity of the axle. I later found out this was done to both sides. I also found that they did not clean out the metal debris from the old gearset that had been completely destroyed. I had asked them to put a helicoil in my transmission ear (I had them rebuild the whole trans) where the starter bolted on because it was stripped. Guy said he "couldn't find one" when I asked why it wasn't done. The transmission lines to the trans cooler they installed were contacting the long tube headers they installed. As a transmission specialty shop, they if anyone should know this is very bad for the transmission fluid to be exposed to that kind of heat. 5 of the 8 nuts on my axle bearing retaining plates (The plate that literally keeps my axle from sliding out of the [redacted] housing) were stripped, and three of them had been replaced with what appeared to be very low-grade hardware that immediately stripped when I torqued them to the specified 50lb-ft. I also discovered that my rocker panels had dents in them where the vehicle lift had contacted them during what must have been an improper placement of the vehicle lift. The only thing they did correctly is rebuild the transmission which I'm pretty sure is developing a leak already. I have put less than 10,000 miles on the truck since I picked it up. These guys seriously suck. ","neg-1

I paid for service and then they did not honor thr warrenty. On February 26 2014 I dropped my car off and paid them a total of $4.373.06. They were to replace the engine with a certified used engine. Later that week I picked the car up and it went approximately 15 miles before it malfunctioned. Gear Headz did pay to tow it back to their shop and it sat there not being repaired. Weeks later they finally removed that engine but I had to go retrieve the replacement engine from the salvage yard they purchased it from which was 3 hours away. I brought the engine back, and it sat in their shop for over 6 months. I finally spoke to an attorney which informed me of my consumer rights. So I mentioned that to Gear Headz. They then puy my engine back in and completed it today August 30 2014. They engine still does not run properly but they are asking for an additional $400 for their services of putting the new engine in when I was told there would be no charge.Desired SettlementI just want it over
