Gecko Green

I hired GG for weed control and fertilization. Almost immediately, like other reviews, my grass started dying. I was told there was a fungus issue and they treated for that. Then there was a grub issue and they treated for that. Now there are huge dead spots everywhere and I was told it's because the grass is going dormant. No reason why the weeds are thriving except that a huge area is now just dirt and my grass is gone. The big difference can be seen at the property line where my neighbor who never had service and my side. My yard has never looked worse. It will be costly to replace almost an acre of lawn. The only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because customer service is nice and polite.

Around last year Sep or Oct, GC sales person came to my house and had a wonderful sales pitch of how wonderful they can make my yard in my neighborhood. Being a first time home owner that sounded great to me and I gave GC the task to maintain the yard. After about 5-months of services, my yard was anything but the most beautiful yard in my neighborhood. When I called the sales guy to come and see work of his team, he agreed things need to be taken care of, all the fungus growing, weeds every where in yard and flower beds around the tree. Sales guy never called back to update me when they will take care of mess, I call and in return I am told, he miscommunicated to me about few of the services and they do take care of it they just come and spray that's all. What ***, is that what I am paying for? when called GC office to report this, they show all the care and works, but does any action is taken, noI am still having all the problems in the yard and have to hire another contractor who can take care of this. All that money gone down the drain this is totally not acceptable. I am closing this account for good GC is a liar. As I have not used any other company as such, so can't say they are the worst of all, but for sure they are bad and giving them money is same as putting it in the drain

Poor communication led to poor weed control which led to my anger which led to gecko green admitting they couldn't control the weeds apparently due to Texas outlawing chemicals which led to the departure. Save your time and pick a better company.
