Online Geek
I thought I had called Best Buy Geek Squad. I paid for the lifetime service. I repeatedly asked them if they were Best Buy Geek Squad. They responded in a way that deflected by saying Best Buy Geek Squad offers hardware protection but they were online support.
Took my computer to best buy and found out there was a virus on the computer after Online Geek had supposedly fixed it and protected me from all threats.

I called to ask for a refund. No one would answer my call.

They( Geeks Online ) did the same with me saying they were Amazon.I called Amazon while he was in my computer and found out he was NOT Amazon as he stated.I then called the bank and had them cancel the card and dispute the charge if it came through my account.A few days later they called me again to say I had declined paying them. They also gave me the number as the number to call for help. That's a fake Number. These guys are from some foreign country that can't be reprimanded for their dealings. Some people they get and some they don't.

I purchased Geeks online thinking it was a part of the ***. They sold me a contract , quite
expensive for me. Yesterday, 6 months into the contract, they contacted me and said that I had a
problem. The security system I had paid for had been removed by a hacker and I had to buy and
additional year for security even tho I had 6 months left on my contract. I refused to pay additional
money when they sold me the security for my computer and told them they were a scam. I felt that
they, sold a security product and should replace what what no longer there. Some security they
provided

I contact the *** and that is when I found out they were not park of one another. I am
very upset and would not recommend this company or there service to anyone

Misrepresented themselves as Geek Squad (Best Buy) and charged me for services that were damaging to my computer.
23 My 2017 - intercepted my call to Geek Squad and misrepresented themselves as being Geek Squad -Best Buy and they ndicated that I should buy thro them for a more prompt service. Throughout the conversations they continued to misrepresent themselves. They conned me out of $1400 for software but took only the first payment for unnecessary anti-virus software. ($669.47) I allowed them remote access to all my files online as they confirmed they were Geek Squad (Best Buy) I am unaware of exactly what they opened or copied - all my personal information - including financial - is in the files. This was clearly fraud and misrepresentation and I feel violated. When I couldn't get them to fix my computer (no-one answered the phone after 10 or more messages) , I called Best Buy who put me through to (the real) Geek Squad who told me I'd been scammed. There is no excuse or chance of misunderstanding - this is straight fraud.

Desired Outcome

I have been been without a working computer for nearly a week and have lost thousands of dollars. I could take legal action but that's expensive and doesn't help anyone (I have a lawyer in the area who will act for me) - I would rather resolve this fairly and suggest a refund of $1200. Failure to do so will leave me little alternative but to escalate the matter including taking it to the media

This company does not have professionals providing tech support.
I received a sales phone call offering tech support services for my new computer from Geeks. I in error thought that the company was affiliated with Geek Squad and purchased the services for 149.99. Today I needed assistance with setting up an email account via exchange server. I contacted Geeks online llc and during the remote session the "technician" googled setting up an exchange server while I was watching. He then proceeded to select a link that said something like setting up an exchange server email account for dummies. I stopped the session as I was uncomfortable with a professional using google for dummies to help with a tech support issue. I contacted the customer service department to request a refund and cancellation of any future billing only to be hung up on by the billing department. This is unacceptable.

Desired Outcome

I would like a full refund due to the fact that the technician was not capable of resolving my issue and I do not believe the company has any kind of IT professionals working for them.

Signed with Geeks online LLC 8/8/18 Got call about refund. Turned out to be a scam. Lost $199.95.
On 8/8/2018 signed with Geeks online LLC for service on cleaning out computer. Pd. 199.95. Seemed ok at that time. Got a call yesterday about a refund "We lost our license to operate in NY and have to refund youe fee." I called and through a lengthy process gave them info to refund my fee th bank acct. Refund was 3,199.95 (!!) Person became agitated that he would lose job if I could not correct the error. (really first clue) Then proceeded to walk me through getting $3,000 in Google Play Gift cards from Walmart. (second clue) Immediately stalled him and contacted my bank which immediately closed access to my account. Geeks Online actually transferred $3,199.95 from another account to look like it was a legitimate mistake. I have taken actions to further secure my computer and bank accounts. A legitimate refund by paper check or Western Union would be nice but realistically I know I'll never see my $199.95 again.

Desired Outcome

A legitimate refund by secure means would be the solution, but realistically I will never see my $199.95 again. That they can be publicly exposed as a scam would be the next best. I have no desire to contact this company directly as I know they will try something else.

I contacted Geeks Online LLC, by accident, thinking I was contacting GeekSquad, with whom I have a service contract. I signed, foolishly an agreement with Geeks Online LLC for remote computer work. Their agreement does have a cancellation clause, to be done by email. They misspell their e-mail address and use the suffix.us when it is .com. I want everyone to know this. I hope they do not cash my check or give me a refund, but I think they are disingenuous and the legitimate business community needs to be aware of this,
Product_Or_Service: tech support
Account_Number: GO XXXXXX

Desired Outcome

Other (requires explanation) they have not put in my e-check for $499.99. I do not want to pay them at all.
