Review: I asked for help with my [redacted] email account, it took over 2 hours and all that happened was I was given a new email address, which I could have done myself. The problem was never resolved. The Support person: asked me my age, asked for my date of birth, asked for my banking account number information. I did say I was a senior citizen, he then said I was entitled to a discounted rate of 129.99. When I was given the final amount I was told it was $189.99, I asked what happened to my senior discount and was then told I did not qualify because I did not have a Networks security. I was also told that I did not have to change the password on my new email, so the support person now has access to my email & password as well as my date of birth, sounds very suspicious. I told him many times his questions were inappropriate and none of his business. In hindsight I should have hung-up the phone. There was also an issue with his trying to help me with my cell phone and telling me to take out my sim card. I was also told that I had to email them to tell them that my check was in the mail. I was also told that my personal check had to be in the mail immediately. I spoke to my neighbor and she suggested I file a complaint as this is very suspicious. I am very concerned I have been scammed.Desired Settlement: Though there was no resolution of my problem and I have no idea what the support person actually did for me, I would like a breakdown of charges. What exactly was fixed on my computer and why was I kept on the phone for so long. I believe I was taken advantage of and that I should only be charged the $49.99 one time fix fee.
