RE: ID # [redacted] BBB, [redacted] purchased a Toyota Avalon from us on February 20, 2016. . And yes, we did drive it personally a bit. It is a very nice car; we had no issues with it. [redacted] and his wife stopped by about a week later and asked us to look at the heater, however, [redacted] and [redacted] ... were out of town. The secretary, ***, was the only person there at the time. He was told someone would call him, which [redacted] did. [redacted] was going to do some checking into the heater issue and get back with him. [redacted] did advised him that the heater issue would not be covered under the warranty. We gave him a limited power-train warranty at the time of purchaseat no charge. The next thing we knew the vehicle is at his mechanic being torn down. [redacted] wanted us to talk to his mechanic about this issue after the fact. We did not authorize anything with his mechanic; he did that on his own. The heater issue is not a common problem with the Toyota brand so for his mechanic to say he has done over 100 of these repairs a year is a bit concerning. Also, we would prefer to work with our mechanic, as we trust him and we are better able to control costs, etc. [redacted] seemed to want his own mechanic which is his choice. We never had an opportunity to check out the issue in our shop.First - [redacted] had an opportunity to purchase an extended service contract at time of purchase and declined.Second - We gave him a 2-day Contract Cancellation Option Agreement (commonly known as acooling off period) at no charge to him so he could have the vehicle checked out by his mechanic Under that contract he could have returned the car for any reason within that (2) days. He did not report any issues with the vehicle, nor did he return the vehicle.Third – [redacted] agreed to a settlement on this issue that he proposed then he goes and complains to the BBB that we are not working with him.We are a family owned business and we pride ourselves in working well with our cus***ers.Sincerely,***, [redacted] , and [redacted] Motors

Revdex.com:
I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID [redacted], and have determined that this proposed action would not resolve my complaint.  For your reference, details of the offer I reviewed appear below.
There was no resolution included in the response. Business promised to send $400 to help pay for repairs which has not been received. Our complaints were made after being hung up on by the owner and before his son called us. We can revise complaints once there has been follow up on that.
Regards,
[redacted]
