Tell us why here We are in receipt of the letter from Ms***. We had previously replied via your online tool. In our online reply we provided specific dates when service was performed over the last years. We also provided the details of the ongoing issues with the HVAC unit.In her letter on line three she indicates that we were out on 12/19/2015. This date is incorrect as indicated in our online reply. We were out on 12/19/2012. This service visit was diagnosed as a bad control and hot surface ignitor due to a power surge. We replaced the control with a factory part and installed the customer supplied hot surface ignitor (HSI) She paid the bill of $in full and we did not issue any refund or credit Her desired settlement is “to be honest like they were in and reimburse me the cost of the computer board”Geisel keeps excellent records of all our service transaction. We have enclosed a copy of the service invoice. Our $89 charge for residential service covers the diagnostic fee.  Any additional parts and labor are not included in the $89 fee.  We do offer a $89 gas furnace clean and check.  This is a scheduled service.  This service typically take one hour and would not have included the...

extensive cleaning required as noted below.    Our computer records indicate it has been 14 years since our last visit to [redacted]’s home to service his steam boiler.   In that time the boiler has not been properly maintained or serviced. The boiler serial number indicates that boiler was made in 1983 and is now 35 years old.In this case the boiler requires cleaning and maintenance above and beyond a system that is serviced annually.  The boiler shows signs of flame rollout, the pressure gauge does not work, there is a water leak at the main steam line and the heat exchangers and burners need to be extensively cleaned.  Once this is completed a combustion analysis should be performed to insure proper operation.This takes time and requires advanced equipment.We offered [redacted] the option to proceed with these vital safety procedures.We installed a water heater at this location in 2015 and upon inspection we determined that the vent piping needed to be modified.  We offered to return at no charge to take care of this.We await approval to proceed with the recommendations listed above.
