Mr [redacted] did not pay a deposit at all, he actually paid for a timing belt job to be done on the car he was purchasing and that was made clear to him! He requested this job to be done the same day he was coming and its about a 6 hour job that...
we went out of our way to get a shop to drop everything and get started on at 11am the same day. I said I would not have the job done unless he was paying for it as it is not something we would ever do on the car and it does not make the car worth any more money, but to make him happy and for his piece of mind we went out of our way to get it done. He paid [redacted] by his credit card, the total actually came to [redacted] and this is about [redacted] less than he could have gotten it done anywhere else. I actually lost [redacted] on this and no I did not keep any deposit, this was for services HE requested, if he had not requested [redacted] in work, I would have gladly given him his money back. We told him the job would take all day and wouldn't be done until at least 5, so he shows up at 3 and the car is in the shop! We try to get them to hurry but it was still a little after 5 when the work was complete. When the car was buttoned back up there was some smoke, the car drove fine, but we assured him we would get it taken care of and he was fine with that and the shop where the work was done was closed by now. It turns out something got pinched when they were doing the timing belt as quickly as possible and some oil got into the intercooler causing some smoke. The problem was easily fixed but Mr [redacted] says he already went and purchased another car the same night....."fishy at best since it was after 6 and he was in a rental car!" [redacted] did a complete walk through of the car over the phone before he paid for the service to be done so we were sure he knew exactly what he was looking at, and the price of [redacted] for a 2001 Audi TT all wheel drive 225hp car with just 100,000 miles is a steal and we were not making any money at that so his saying he found a comparable one [redacted] cheaper is a complete lie. While I am sorry the car did smoke when he got here I am sorry for, but that was out of my control as he requested the work and he requested it in a rapid time frame and the shop didn't get time to sort it out as he was ready to go when he got here, and again, this was work Mr [redacted] requested, had he waited a day there would have been zero issues as they had the issue fixed the next day but Mr [redacted] couldn't wait. With young kid buyers and sports cars like this, we make sure we have all of our ducks in a row with their transactions because they do not purchase cars like adults do and aren't vested in business transactions and are sometimes "flighty" so this is why we did the walk through with him made him pay for the service up front. I have all my paperwork documentations to the work performed on the car. Mr. [redacted] tried first to have his own hometown bank reverse the debit card transaction, but after speaking with us and us providing his bank with the proper documents that he requested the work be done and that we had the work performed onhis behalf, they obviously sided with us as a legitimate charge so now he is trying the slander technique and now he has been making verbal threats which we have recorded and he has now been warned legally that if he has any more contact with us it will be seen as harassment. My next defense is a cease and desist order for Mr [redacted] before he gets himself into trouble that will further damage his cause. We tried to help Mr [redacted] but it seems Mr [redacted] cant help himself. We sell over 200 used cars a year and this is the first complaint of this nature on any transaction so obviously Mr [redacted] is a "rare" account and this is not the nature of our business. I am sorry Mr [redacted] had to learn a lesson that you don't get to change your mind after spending [redacted] on service then change your mind and buy something else and think you can strongarm that person into losing money on your behalf. Mr [redacted] has been robo calling our phones cursing and making physical threats to everyone up here and now is using some kind of computer program to make his number show up as a different number.

This is unacceptable. [redacted] also said he would pay me himself if his boss wouldn't allow it. HIS EXACT WORDS! Did I call and get mad? You bet I did. These people are CROOKS and I will fight till I get my money back period. I own a successful business And carry an A+ on this very site. I am a man of my word. This is just the beginning and I look forward to see where this goes. I will never go away till they HONOR their word.

This has and will end here or Mr [redacted] will face both Criminal and Civil charges, he is an unstable man with clear mental issue and has been served a Cease and Desist order ordering him to discontinue verbal physical threats and slanderous lies. The Springfield police department has been notified that he has also been ordered not to step foot on our property or he will be considered in trespass. I will not respond any further to Mr. [redacted] on this site or anywhere so as not to further temp himself to get into more civil and criminal trouble. This scenario was always a non-issue as Mr. [redacted] paid for a Timing Belt job and the car did not smoke before the work he requested to be done was done and was he requested it be done so quickly that a line got pinched and that is why it smoked, it was quickly fixed as soon as the shop had time to look at it, but of coarse they couldn't do it the same night.
