Review: My entire family had been coming to this dentist for over 20 years now I must going there as they are not helpful, friendly, considerate and seem unprofessional. Here is my complaint:They claimed my daughter needed wisdom teeth removed so we made an appointment. We received a phone call, I handed the phone to my adult daughter because they asked for her. I am the one who pays the bills( My insurance allows to age 26) I was not aware they would charge me 200.00 out of pocket at the time. They claimed that they stated this to my daughter but that is doubtful. When we arrived this was explained to me. I was shocked. I wanted to leave but they told me I would be responsible for an 100.00 cancellation fee! Now I know that was a PLOY to corner me. I didn't know it then. They had me sign a paper saying that I owe 200.00 The bill stated more, when I protested they said don't worry it is only 200.00. I paid 50.00 that day. Now I get a bill for 295.00!! as my card declined. I called immediately and told the clerk that this is wrong. She made up stories and said I was only responsible for 150.00 that that bill in total was for other family procedures. I believe this is a lie to collect money for unsuspecting customers. No other person in my family owes anything. The doctor who took my daughters teeth was even a little rude to me and I was told I could not stay during the extraction. I was really apprehensive at that point and decided I would never come back again. My dispute is why wasn't I allowed to cancel this appointment and why was I charged 200.00 out of pocket!! I have to call my insurance company to see if this is a fraudulent charge or trumped up charge. The desk clerks are phoney and scheming!! They must be exposed! I didn't get the clerks name but I have her handwriting on the fraudulent bill I have. I will not give them any more money until this is straightened out. This seems to be happening a lot to people . It is not fair to the customer, the insurance company and to all.Desired Settlement: I want Revdex.com to investigate this practice for fraudulent bills and unfair practices regarding billing. I would like this bill I received to stop immediately and have no futher contact from them. Thank You.

Ms. [redacted] was scheduled in our office on 8-**-2013 for surgical extractions of teeth #1 &

#32 as well as a Panaromic X-ray. When the receptionist called to confirm the appointment date, time, and financial responsibility,

the patient was requested by name as she is an adult, and our office adheres to strict HIPPA compliance protocols.

Ms. [redacted] was reminded of the pre-op instructions for the surgical visit, as well as her out of pocket expenses

relating to the services. At no time did Ms. [redacted] reauest a financlal consult regarding the an1ount that would be due at the time of service.

On the date of the appointment, Ms. [redacted] was accompanied by her mother, who seemed to not understand her insurance policy as far as uncovered

services. For all Basic and Major services there is a standard percentage copay that is due by the patient/policy holder, It was not our respon.sibllity to have this conversation with an adult patient's

mother.

The Panaromic X-ray that was required as a diagnostic X-ray prior to the X-ray was discounted in half as a courtesy to this patient, but this has all been overlooked.

I have attached an itemized bill.

Regarding the Cancellation/Broken Appointment policy, our office requires at least twenty four hours' notice to reschedule all appointments.

For Mrs. [redacted] to disregard the time the surgeon had set.aside for Ms. [redacted] was against office policy, so she was advised of how to not incur the

fee of $100. And was encouraged to allow her daughter to stay for her scheduled services.

Our fee has been discounted in the past and present for this family's dental services. Our office goes to great lengths to educate and work with patients

and their families to assist them in making their dental treatment doable. This is an unfortunate incident, and it is simply a lack of communication.

At this time, I have not been contacted by Geller Family Dental regarding complaint ID [redacted], not since the last correspondence on this site. My can only assume that they have resolved the issue on their end. I wish no further contact from them.
