Gemini Irrigation

Review: Gemini was hired to replace backyard sprinkler system after new pool/patio/waterfall/kitchen island were installed. The line to the waterfall was pointed out and the island obviously has electric running to it. In the process of the installation the waterfall line and electric lines were sliced in half. The cost to repair the electric was $400.00 and the cost to repair the waterfall line is at least a couple of hundred dollars. His original response was that he would take care of the repairs but then changed his mind. He denies that I told him where the lines were. He also threatened us that he was going to call his friend an electrical inspector in our town to come and inspect our yard because nothing is to code, which is false. All work was done by licensed, insured companies. He stated that the contract (which I never signed a contract with him) says that he is not responsible for any lines being cut.Desired Settlement: Reimbursement of repair costs due to his negligence.

Dear [redacted] did not enter into a contract with Gemini Irrigation as was asked. On our contract it states that we are not responsible for any wires or pipes that are underground. We only go 8-10 inches under the ground and all electrical lines should be deeper as should all pool and waterfall lines She asked us to reconnect backyard lines to her sprinkler system and never told us of any electrical lines or waterfall lines that existed. She may be confused and told another contractor about these but never told us. If she did tell us we would have contacted the contractors who installed them so we would have had them tell us where they are. This is a standard procedure that we always do when a customer informs us of any underground wires or hoses. If a homeowner has underground utilities we always call those utility companies before we begin any work, but [redacted] had none. For all we know those wires and hoses that she is talking about were always broken. I told [redacted] that an electrical inspector for her town should be contacted to make sure that everything was installed to code, which I believe was not. Gemini Irrigation will not reimburse [redacted] for any repairs she is trying to unfairly blame us for. We were not negligent. We have no reason to deny any of this because we could have repaired it ourselves had we done it. I am sorry she feels that we were responsible for this damage, but we were not. Everything that this contractor said is false. He never asked me or showed me a contract. I never told another contractor where the lines were. I didn't get any other estimates since has has been doing work for me for years. I don't understand how he can claim that he did not know that the waterfall line was there when the space between the pool filter and the huge waterfall is only about 15 feet. There is no other place the line would be. I pointed out everything to him. Obviously this is a case of he said she said, but he is a liar! He took absolutely no precautions to not cut through the lines in my backyard. I had to pay $400 to have the electric repaired and $250 to have the waterfall line fixed, not to mention all the dirt that got into my pool because he cut clear through the line.
