On August 12, I wrote to them asking for an update since I had understood they would begin my project around the 5th or middle of July and I had not spoken with them since May . This was my attempt to be certain that we were still on track. It was my understanding that they were to work on the manuscript that they had already edited rather than the unedited version (why would they work on the unedited version again?). I had sent in my contract and my deposit as stated in the thread of emails. I thought they would contact me with any questions when they were beginning the second edit but when I did not hear back from them, I tried again on August 17th to contact them with additional phone calls and emails. One of my calls was met with a man who told me I had the wrong number and hung up. My phone records showed it was the number I had always used to contact them. Because they asked a fee of $5,for the project, I could not in good conscience continue to work with a business where there was already a breakdown/lack of communication. Therefore, I contacted the Revdex.com for help. The lady who helped me also tried to contact them to be certain it was their business phone number which was confirmed to her by Gemini's answering service which announced their name. The complaint was file on 8/17/17, the day before Ruth and Ann responded to me by email on 8/18/17. Fortunately they returned my deposit. I can only say that any business who received a $1,deposit on June 28th with a contract to gain a total of $5,000., should have made more effort to return my calls and emails, especially if they were unclear on any aspect of the project going forward. That said, I would like to protect my good name in that I also acted in good faith and put closure to the matter, attributing this to incident to a break down of communication for whatever the reason.Kind Regards,*** ***
