The only  proof I [redacted]                                   ... [redacted]
[redacted]   I had to chuckle about the header from [redacted]s Letter “Regarding the above complaint, here are the facts of the matter “She would not know the facts of the matter because she was not there, and had to depend on all the Information from her Employees C[redacted] and H[redacted], which for an obvious reason might not remember all the facts correctly of this matter   But I was there and believe me, when I walked in there, in this richly appointed [redacted] Room and allowed to sit in those comfortable chairs for the Customers, and C[redacted] was sitting across from me, also in one of those comfortable chairs, I was very sure of what I wanted and what I asked her, I pointed at the [redacted] Display cases and said “you know those over there “Smiling C[redacted] said Yes! there were no others. So for me that was the go-ahead for me to have my watch sent out for an Estimate. I also inquired that in case I don’t want the repair done, there are no charges for the estimate. C[redacted] confirmed this. When asked by Mrs [redacted] about the facts C[redacted] might have forgotten them. Fast forward to March 7,when I got the call that the estimate was in ,I got to the Store in record time ,was guided in the [redacted]  Room, sat in those comfortable chairs ,this time H[redacted] ,whom I knew from a previous transaction ,had the estimate at hand and we went over every Item ,so correctly stated by Mrs . I don’t understand why I should have pointed out to H[redacted] that my watch is an older Model, He is looking at my estimate telling him it’s an older model. I feel like Mrs. [redacted] is blaming me for not pointing this out to H[redacted]. She also stated that the new solid link Bracelet has been changed just recently, the Fact is, it was changed in 2000, realising the old Band was a poor desing, 16 Years ago. (See info on [redacted] Bracelet) There was no reason for me to suspect that one of the older models is still around. There are no  old watch band in her Store they could have shown me, when I ask H[redacted] to show me the one I am getting , he took a solid link [redacted] Band out of the show case and I had it in my Hand, drooling all over it. [redacted] 18 July 2016 Revdex.com 16102 100 Ave. NW Edmonton AB TSP 0L3 RE: CONSUMER COMPLAINT #11553173 Regarding the...

above complaint, here are the facts of the matter: On February 18, 2016, Mr [redacted] came to our store, Gemoro Goldsmith, located at 1093 West Edmonton Mall, to enquire about the possibility of having his [redacted] sent to the [redacted] Service Centre for a maintenance service. One of our sales staff, C[redacted], assisted Mr [redacted] and took him to the [redacted] Room where we have chairs for customers so as to make Mr [redacted] more comfortable while she did the necessary paperwork. In the course of their conversation he asked if it is possible to change the bracelet of his watch for a new one as the wear and tear was already showing, and in fact, one link was already flattened. C[redacted] of course said yes that it was possible to have a new bracelet installed. She suggested that it was best to request an estimate for a new bracelet while the watch was being serviced at the [redacted] Service Centre, and Mr [redacted] agreed to do that. She proceeded to do a Job Bag in which she noted that Mr [redacted]' watch was an older version. On March 3rd we received an estimate from [redacted] for the service of Mr [redacted]' watch which included a quote for a new bracelet on a trade-in basis only. This means that they will install a new bracelet but will keep the old bracelet. It has always been a [redacted] policy to keep old spare parts when installing new ones so as to keep genuine [redacted] parts from being used in copies or knock-offs of their product. As dealers, we have nothing to do with this policy and we have to abide by their rules or else we risk losing our dealership. We informed Mr [redacted] by telephone that we have an estimate from [redacted], so on March 7th he came to our store and this time he talked to H[redacted], one of our sales associates. They went through the service estimate item by item and H[redacted] explained to him what it meant. Then Mr [redacted] asked H[redacted] to show him a [redacted] bracelet which is what he originally had in his watch. Now I would like to note here that [redacted] has two bracelet models for their [redacted] watches, namely the [redacted]  and the [redacted].  The [redacted] bracelet had undergone a design change recently, thus the current one has a tiny crown you flip to open the clasp, while the older version had a plate with a safety lever you use to open the clasp.H[redacted] was not aware that Mr [redacted]' watch was an older version so when he was asked what a Jubilee bracelet looks like, he pulled one from our showcase and showed it to Mr Mras. All our watches are new and of the current design, so the Jubilee bracelet Hoshyar showed him was the one with the tiny crown. If Mr [redacted] had mentioned to Hoshyar that his watch was an older model, Hoshyar would have explained to him that [redacted] will install only the same type of bracelet for that particular model. [redacted] is very particular about their design and they strive to protect the integrity of their products, thus they will not ever install a part that does not belong to the original design. Mr [redacted] never asked us for the model number of the new bracelet he was getting, so we assumed he was aware that he would be getting a new bracelet of the same type as what he previously had. As much as we would like to provide Mr[redacted] with the bracelet he wants, unfortunately it is not within our power to do so.So as to give you a better understanding of what I'm trying to explain here, please find attached the following:1.     Copy of [redacted] Service Technical Review which Mr [redacted] read prior to giving his consent to go ahead with the service and parts replacement.2.     Copy of letter from [redacted] Canada explaining that they can only install the same type of Jubilee bracelet that was previously in the customer's watch, and that the current types cannot be retrofitted to older models. We hope you can convey to Mr [redacted] our sincere apologies for the misunderstanding and miscommunication, but there was never any intention on our part to deceive or cause him any inconvenience. We tried our best to give him the best customer service possible, but as a [redacted] official dealer, we have to abide by their rules and policies. We hope this letter clarifies this issue. Sincerely,Margarita Romanchuk
