Review: RE: Website (www.GreyForest.com) hosted by REGISTER.COMI bought and prepaid for this website in [redacted]- for their "20 page WebsiteNOW" and is prepaid until 5/2018. I am the sole owner of this site.I own an additional 2 other sites hosted by Register.com On 12/**/2013 & again on 12/**/2013, without my knowledge or consent, Register.com/personnel accessed my site without permission from Yarmouth, [redacted] and re-published my site into their (Do it Myself) aka: SITE BUILDER and crashing the site/breaking the source code.The site is and has been non-usable/non functioning since 12/**/2013.without any explanation as to why they transferred my website to an entirely different platform or why they did so on 'Christmas Eve'?I received no calls nor emails; and called customer service on 12/**/2013 reaching a CS Rep "[redacted]l P." in Canada, who escalated the issue and verified that in fact the original "image" of my site in their file did not match the destroyed website they published to the web (WITHOUT MY KNOWLEDGE NOR CONSENT) and it would be fixed by the following morning.It was not.A supervisor "[redacted]" from REGISTER.com CS, left me a message from [redacted] saying he escalated the issue again to their server administrator to fix the issue.N.B. This is a business website. It is my sole source of income, and the destroyed URL links affect every sales distribution based from this mother site. I.E: Register.com crashed the website by their own negligence, and failed to transfer the html source codes and crashing the website.In previous contacts with their CS, I made it crystal clear that their (SITE BUILDER) platform was entirely unacceptable. I ONLY maintained service with them for the "20 page WebsiteNOW" platform I purchased and built my site from, period. OVERVIEW:The Web Host changed platforms on a pre-paid customer without their knowledge or consent and broke all source codes - crashing the website they were supposed to be hosting. IE: Failure to provide services paid for.Desired Settlement: SETTLEMENT:Replacement of my website back to its 'original image' on its ORIGINAL PLATFORM ie:(20 pg WebsiteNOW) only. Including restitution for all lost time coding and income of $100 per day that the site is broken/down until the date it is fully repaired by their Techs. Inclusive of full refund of said time for failure to provide services. Register.com advertised itself as Website Host selling a stable platform, and promise to provide services paid for. That failure is Actionable.

To this date, I have not received any response to my initial complaint nor any reply regarding my formal request

for a list of my purchase history with this company or their Corp Contact info ( Pres/Vice Pres/CEO/acting legal Rep/ or any contact information whatsoever)

a very strange and disturbing amount of stonewalling from this company.

Register.com has been my online web Registrar for over a decade (10yrs+) My complaint was based on the issue that on Christmas Eve/2013 their Techs

switched my Mother Website (for business distribution) from my purchased WebSiteNOW platform to their defunct and incompatible "SITE BUILDER" platform

and did so without my knowledge or consent (no call/physical mail/or email notice) and crashed the website (dysfunctional and entirely broken URL/Source codes

that took a decade to build) ~ NB: even AFTER the Fact of destroying a customers business site (they published to the web in its broken state) ~ they failed to exercise

any level of quality control - and left it in the crashed state. (thus, the source of this complaint to the Revdex.com)

After a multitude of emails to their Customer service / (making sure it was all kept on verifiable record) and pointing out that SITEBUILD was absolutely 'NOT' a substitute for the

original service I purchased (and is fully prepaid for the next 4.25 yrs ! - exp 5/**/2018) AND (note here) that I also pointed out that in their unwelcome attempt to pass off their

SB Platform as my new hosting platform that they had shorted me a full year of service (shown on my account page) ~ interestingly: on 1/20/14 I was granted that

additional year of service (prepaid) for the unwanted "SiteBuilder" onto my account ....with absolutely no response to my questions / or request for information or restitution

which was all specified in the very same email.

Thus, the Corp Business: Register.com owned by Web.com Group, Inc. - behavior towards their liability in this issue has been exceptionally unprofessional and bizarre,

by stonewalling a long standing and fully prepaid customer in good standing.

RESULTS OF REGISTER.COM's MISCONDUCT:

The very purpose of a Registrar and Online Hosting service is to PROMOTE ONLINE Business, not destroy them.

Without notice nor consent, my prepaid service was switched to a lesser service (and entirely dysfunctional) website platform that is useless and unusable with hypertext.

The Host/Registrar manipulated and published a customers site (in a broken and bdized condition) to the world wide web ( defamation & libel )

and destroyed a decades worth of work on a mother website that was the source of marketing/income. When confronted, they admitted THEY COULD NOT FIX the site they had broken

to its original condition. (after several weeks of dealing with their incompetence, I was forced to hire a web designer for damage control and crash-rebuild the Mother Site on another server

(another Host) entirely.

ADDED NOTE: I made multiple requests to REGISTER.COM for my Authorization code to switch to another Registrar - and was yet STONEWALLED AGAIN, as they intentionally blocked my ability to do so.

RESITUTION:

The negligence displayed by this Company (Web.com DBA: Register.com) caused a months LOSS OF INCOME / and excessive costs+fees as I was forced to switch to another HOST and REBUILD

of the site they destroyed. INCLUDING that they owe a full refund for their switch-out SITEBUILDER service I did not want nor desire ( 4.25 yrs of prepaid service) including indirect DAMAGES

for lost clientele who assumed my business was closed because of the crashed site. It will still take many, many months to return all the URL connections to their original format prior to this incident.

(note to their Legal Rep) These damages were created by an intentional act of gross misconduct and neglect by your company (Web.com/Register.com acting personnel)

My request to date was simple:

Send me all my account information with my purchase history (for this is NOT DISPLAYED on my account for some reason)

Send me the contact information to your acting Corp Attorney and - Current acting President/Vice/Chairman. for legal service.

Send me the full explanation as to WHY YOU COMMITTED THIS ACT ?- and WHY YOU NO LONGER PROVIDE THE WEBSITENOW SERVICE ?

Thus far, these very simple questions have been unanswered. 01/[redacted]/2014 Customer: [redacted]
