5/12/The Revdex.com,
I am not accepting Steve L***'s offer I took my care there for a battery I didn't have any other problems until they made them
I feel they messed up my car & someone else had to fix it
I don't see any reason to keep going over all this again.
I am out $1, So be it
What you can't change you have to accept I am right with my God -- I hope he is right with his God
He send me a email with a fish and a cross on it I have one on the back of my car.
Thank you so much,

My service team, Beth R***, spoke to *** *** on 2/2/regarding a letter and issues that she had with the vehicle for over minutes *** *** told Beth that she would not come back to our dealership We wanted to take a look at the vehicle and verify her complaints and
issues and resolve them She declined to come back to us
On April 21, at 11:35pm *** *** sent me the following email"About two weeks ago the light came on in my saying I should check my oil so last Friday I took it to another service center in your areaI told them what happened with my car last fallAfter the service manager and mechanic took my car back to check my car the service manager came out and said " you have to come back and see this"What your mechanic did was a horrible job---instead of putting things back the way he should have he folded up the wires with plastic zip tiesThe oil was running out over everythingThey showed me some other thing down under that was blue in color and the mechanic said that should be black not blue.So I had to pay to have the same work done twiceThe sad part about this whole deal is there was nothing wrong with anything under my hoodIt was running goodALL I NEEDED WAS A BATTERY.I may be but I am not stupidI don't know if I should report this to the police because what you did was a crime---people do this sort of things to old people all the time thinking they will never knowBut I know what I am going to do and that is report it to the Revdex.com*** ** ***"
I contacted *** *** on April 22, and reiterated to her that would take care of her issue When Beth spoke to her we offered to bring her car in and replace an a/c condenser at no charge to her This was the noise that my technician heard when he was replacing her battery Yes the battery in her car is under the passenger seat We test drive vehicles and make notations of anything that we see or hear could be an issue and then we notify the customer It is their choice as to whether or not they would like to repair it Numerous times in my conversation with *** ***, as well as with Beth, as well as in her letter she states that we had no business going under her hood when all she needed was a battery We check fluid levels and do a walk around on every vehicle that comes in It is standard operating procedures for any garage I told *** *** numerous times that we would take a look at her vehicle and that I would look it over with her and see what, if any, mistakes we had made and then we would correct them and also replace the a/c condenser at no charge which is a $repair She told me she would never step foot in here again and would not allow us to look at things She demanded that we repay her for work she had done elsewhere without being willing to show me the work or let me see what the accusations were against my team I believe I offered and did everything I could to try to resolve the situation After numerous times of *** *** loudly voicing her displeasure with us, I asked her is she would like to be removed from our system and never contacted again She said yes We have removed all contact information with *** *** I then sent her the following email after our phone conversation

*** ***,
I am sorry that you feel the way you do and that after negative experience that you desire to cease doing business with us I apologize that we let you down I am letting you know that we are removing you from any and all lists from our company Also, should you ever desire to come back here for service or sales that you must speak to me first I would be glad to help you out again one day but that choice is yoursHave a great day Thank you for your years of service with our companyBlessings,
Steve
I do not know what the invoices are for the amounts she is asking me to reimburse her for I don't know who did the repairs, what they did nor do I know if they were necessary My team was unable to look at the vehicle again and to review the accusations against us I offered one final time on the phone to *** *** that we would still replace the a/c condenser and I would welcome her back here to have her vehicle serviced again She stated she would never come back I'm at the end of what I know to do to satisfy her I do not feel as though I owe her for the amounts that she listed She has shown nothing to validate what they are from nor has she given me an opportunity to look over the items with her and her car As a good will gesture, I will still offer to replace the condenser at no charge

I couldn't find where I could reply to Steve Latta so I hope its all right to do it in this email. He referred to me as [redacted]. I want him to know I am not a Miss but a Mrs. I was married and my husband & I had six children. My husband passed away Dec.12th 1997 after 51 years of marriage. He also said the battery is under the seat on the passenger side of the car-----not so, its under the back seat in [redacted]s.
I sent them a letter and addressed it to the manager I didn't hear anything----so I sent another letter to Steve L[redacted]. Beth did call me then I think three different days that week. She was nice to me and I was nice to her. I just told her I wasn't having any problems with any thing under my hood nothing was leaking my AC was ok and I didn't need anything under there. All I needed was a battery. On the last day we talked she finally said that the only thing they could do was to give me my money back and I said that's what I wanted. I never heard from her again. That's what I wanted her to say----I wasn't going to say it first and I was so glad when she said it.
If I wouldn't have left it slip about who messed my car up we would have pictures to prove what my car looked like. They thought it was pretty bad or they wouldn't have taken me back to see it. Steve complained that I said I would never come back there----well I would never even take a bicycle to him----His Dad yes,him no.
Thank you so much,

[redacted]; I apologize, if I don't know your marital status I am not going to assume anything.   I don't even know how to respond to this honestly.  The location of the battery isn't relavent; I stated under the seat, if I mistyped location, that is irrelevant.  I still don't have documentation showing what the money requested is for.  I am sorry that she, [redacted], feels as though she won't do business with us again.  She has had excellent service, according to her, for years.  I have been running the business for the past 10 years while my father is enjoying retirement locally with his grandchildren and my mother.  I as well as my team have provided excellent care to her for a decade now.  This one instance is seems to be enough for her to criticize me and my business and make accusations against me.  It is unfair and unjustified.
This will be my final response and offer in this matter.  Since I was willing to spend $400 plus labor on the a/c condenser I will cut a check back to [redacted], as a goodwill gesture for her years of service to our family business, in the amount of $500.
I need to have this case closed before I will proceed and I gratefully request that [redacted] not slander me or my business any further.   I wish we could have resolved this outside of the Revdex.com but I always try to reconcile and make things right with customers.
Thank you.

Review: Took my car there for a clutch repair in the beginning of the year. $1000 then more work done in June another $590. A week ago car ran fine then all of the sudden went to start it and it was making a awful noise didn't want to stay running. Looked under the hood and seen a whole in the housing department whitch holds the pressure plate and fly wheel that just had work done and replaced parts with the new clutch. Had to get it towed to them. They said if it was there proble** all parts would be covered under warrenty. Witch they were. They told me a screw came threw the housing compartment that they worked on. They said they never seen this happen or don't know why it happened. Then they look at it and tell me I needed a new transmission that they would cover the cost. They also told me I need a new motor. The 3 rd cyclinder isn't firing. I told them to fix the transmission and housing part. I was not putting a new motor in a old car for $3000. They call me to come pick it back up and it sounds the same nor is it even safe to drive. The car ran fine then you mean to tell me all at once I need a new motor transmission plus fix the housing unit all because they didn't put the bolt back on correctly and that flew out ruined my transmission whitch caused the motor to continue to run then bent the crank. They say it was a internal problem with the transmission that caused all that. If I had a transmission problem I would have known that. The car was running fine. They don't want to admit there mess up caused all this and now I have no car thanks to there mechanics not knowing how to tighten a bolt or put a stripped bolt back on. Its there fault and I feel I should get $3000 for the new motor that it needs. You don't have a car run perfect then all of the sudden you need a new motor trans**ison and the other parts. They messed up and need to pay so I can have a car. I'm there paper work they gave they listed nothing about the bolt. Little fishy if that was a problem they fixed it shouldbhave been in there paperwork.Desired Settlement: I would like $3000 or some money towards a motor because of there mess up caused all this to happen. All those proble** don't happen all at once when the car was running fine. The bolt came off and caused the internal proble** in the transmission and the motor kept trying to work and bent the crank and blew the cyclender.they Had my car for a week and it sounded the same when I got towed there. Turned it on and it was like nothing was even done to it Its like they did nothing. I would have known if I had a blown cyclender and transmission proble** and it was fine then all off the sudden it all breaks at once. I don't think so. They don't want to admit it was there fault and I think they need to pay because now I have no car thanks to there mechanics who don't know how to put a bolt on

To Whom it May Concern:

I am writing in response to a complaint filed against our company, Gene Latta Ford, by **. [redacted].

**. [redacted] has been to our dealership a total of three times for her 2000 Ford Focus, YIN number [redacted]. I have attached a summary of the service history for your review. The vehicle was in June 18, 2012 to replace a customer supplied wheel speed sensor which was unrelated to the complaint. The customer dropped her vehicle off on March 18, 2013 to have the clutch replaced at 173,357 miles. We replaced the clutch assembly, left front half shaft seal and right upper motor mount. The flywheel was refaced at this time. The work was performed by one of our team leaders and verified to have been operating correctly.

**. [redacted] contacted us on September 25.2013 to let us know that her vehicle was once again running rough and there was a hole in the bell housing. Upon inspection, the technician noticed the check engine light was on. We immediately scanned for codes and found a misfire in the engine cylinder #3. We also, upon initial inspection thought that a bolt from the transmission had come loose. Upon further investigation, we found that the transmission had actually failed and the transmission had internally come apart causing the bell housing to get a hole in it. Since the clutch was replaced and not rebuilt in March, there was nothing mechanically that the technician could have done to cause this failure. It simply was a part malfunction. The issue with the engine misfire is completely unrelated and with a vehicle that had 178,592 miles and is 14 model years old, is not surprising.

Here at Gene Latta Ford, customers come first and with that in mind I made the decision to replace **. [redacted] transmission. My decision was not because I felt we did anything to cause her issues but because we believe in maintaining goodwill with our customers. We ail know that perception is reality which is what lead **. [redacted] to file this complaint. The truth of the matter is that our dealership gave her an installed transmission, parts and labor, valued at $1,365.18 for something that was no fault of ours. While we feel for **. [redacted]’ situation with her vehicle, the misfire was in no way related to the transmission repairs that we performed.

Should you require additional information, do not hesitate to contact me at ###-###-#### at any time.

Very truly yours,

Consumer

I am rejecting this response because:

My car ran fine all that day. If my car had trans problem I would have known. Of course the check engine light would be on after a hole is in the bell housing. Check engine was off until all this happened. Your mechanic told me that a bolt came off the pressure plate and came threw the bell housing at first. He also told they don't know why or how this happened. They never seen this happen before. Then they tell me it was a internal problem with the trans that caused this to happen. Just so it looks like it's not your fault. I understand the car is old and this can happen to the car. My point is the car was fine then you me to tell me it all breaks all at once. I don't think so the odds of that happening is very slim because the car ran fine. In march you guys had the trans out put to replace the clutch. You also mean to tell me if it was not your fault in order to be loyal to your customer you spent your own time and money almost $1400.00 just because. Are you serious there is no business that would do that for free if it wasn't your fault. You just want to blame it on the trans to make yourselves look good. You guys lied to me. Tell me to different things from to different people. I have heard many stories about unhappy customers of yours. I also work for the public and I will make sure everyone knows how you treat your customers. Revdex.com you think they just wanted to be nice and spend there time and money on something that wasn't there fault. I don't think so. $1400.00 of work and parts for free should tell you they did that causes they know it was there mess up. A big one!
