We contracted with General Contracting and Remodeling LLC to convert our garage to a living space. Based on our experience with them, the owner seems to use very deceptive business practices in contracts and in performance of his professional services. He seemed to lack a good working knowledge of county building codes, and his apparent lack of knowledge almost caused us to not get the required permit to occupy our conversion. He placed an unlawful lien on our property and we had to hire a lawyer to have it removed. It also appears that he used unlicensed workers using a fraudulently acquired license to do some of the work. In the end, he resorted to what we could only interpret as extortion to force us to pay more money than we felt we owed him. As a result of our complaint to ***, he is barred from advertising on their site because of his actions. We have supporting documentation
. *** used unlicensed plumbers and lied to the *** on inspections He refused to pay me and he hired a plumber to go behind my back with criminal *** calling for an inspection from an unlicensed plumber. He has threatened my life with a gun that is always on him ***. He hates white contractors that are honest . I have notified police and will file formal complaint. This criminal is a elderly and has no other source of entertainment from the toilet he sits on.There was never an active lien and this criminals property it was never served by attorney. which makes it invalid.after 15 days. ***. What is deceptive is that he has filed false complaints against me and lied to the state board.I have not used *** since 2019. I am swamped and just hired 10 more men for my coastal jobs.I stayed on the job for *** when my lawyer said get away from this r***( I am White).I am still owed $9500.00.
