General Engine Rebuilding, LLC Reviews (1)

I originally used General Engine Rebuild in to rebuild a set of heads for me I was referred to Rob K*** (owner) by a friend of mine I delivered my heads on 4/6/and they were completed on 2/1/EXHIBIT A This took a long time but this was a special engine build for me
and Rob told me if I was not in a hurry he could save me some money and I was not in a hurry Rob worked by himself and he had a back log of work in front of mine I was comfortable with Rob knowledge so I choose to leave the heads with him and wait my turn Over the months Rob K*** had the engine heads I had frequent face to face and telephone conversations with him on the progress Upon receiving the finished heads, inspecting them and having further conversations with Rob K*** over the next year, I decided to use him to build the rest of the motor The following is the time line for the work that is in dispute. On 5/10/I delivered to General Engine Rebuild LLC the following engine parts along with a $1,deposit:CID Big Block Chevy Block with bolt mainsOriginal Steel Crank and RodsOne head was giving so that clearances could be checked upon assembly, I still have the other headNew Pistons and RingsNew Oil Pan and gasket New Comp Cams Cam shaft, lifters and timing chainEXHIBIT B is a detailed receipt summarizing the aforementioned I knew there was other engines in front of mine that Rob needed to build and there would be a delay in getting my motor back, but I was ok with this based on past work he had done for me.In the beginning of I talked with Rob K*** and told him that I needed the motor by end of June and he said he would be able to meet my timeline. Between the beginning of and 6/20/I talked to Rob frequently on the phone and face to face about the progress The internal assembly was to be balanced and Rob had that done by another person who was retired and he had told me getting a hold of the guy had been the hold up on finishing my motor“This was the only guy he trusted to do this type of work.”6/20/I stopped at General Engine Rebuild LLC and the door was locked with paper over the glass and a note to call in order to make contact I called Rob K*** and left a message Rob called me right back and explained he had locked his doors during the day in order to get work done because he was getting slowed up by people stopping in and talking We talked about the motor and how it was supposed to be done by the end of the month I told him due to some other issues I had going on with another car that if he could not make that date it was ok He said that would help him get the stuff done in front of me so he could concentrate on my motor since it was a special high performance build 10/3/I had not made contact or received word from Rob K*** in months so I decided to contact him to see if the motor was done and if it wasn’t I was planning on just pulling it from the shop On the way home from work I called the place of business and the phone was disconnected so I decided to stop by the shop to find out what was going on When I got there the door was covered over and locked I went next door to the joining business, this was a mini strip mall complex, and was told Rob moved all the parts out of the shop and they did not know where he went I left my business card and asked them to give it to Rob if they saw him I went home and found a listing for General Engine Rebuild LLC on Facebook so I sent him a message EXHIBIT C I never received an answer from my message. 10/6/I contacted the second district police station and talked to a detective The detective told me it was a civil matter and there was nothing they could do.1/5/I was able to investigate and find the owner of the building where the business was located and wrote him a letter in hopes to get a hold of Rob K*** or my parts were still in the building EXHIBIT D 5/6/I was contacted by the building owner’s son He explained the father had passed away and he did not have any information on how Rob K*** could be contacted, and Rob had removed all stuff from the building He did tell me that ***’s List shows a General Engine Rebuild LLC with a different address I got a membership to ***’s *** and got the address, *** *** *** *** * ** ***, and wrote Rob a letter, I do not have a copy of that letter The letter stated that I just wanted my parts back If he returned my parts I would not pursue him for any monetary damages. After not hearing back from the letter I turned to the Revdex.com for help. Thank you*** *** *** ***
