I am rejecting this response because:
I agree to have him come out and discuss the repairs needed. He can respond to this on Revdex.com with a date and time when he can come out and I'll adjust my schedule to be here at his convenience. I don't agree with the amount for the extras. I want an itemized list with the cost of each extra not just a lump sumWe can than negotiate on that. When we reach agreement on the extras then we can deduct the cost of the materials from that. Example: If I owe $in extras and it cost him $1,in material then I would owe him $200. I'm not going to pay for the extras and cover the cost of the material to fix his mistakes. I'm not going to pay for the disposal of waste from the repairs. It will be his responsibility to remove all waste Here is a list of what needs fixed1: The tile floor in the kitchen needs replaced. The tiles are coming loose and the grout is cracking. The tile and the backer board needs removed and disposed of. New backer board, tile and grout needs installed to manufactures recommendations
2: The cabinets weren't installed to the drawing. They are to high that's why he had to cut out the drywall in the ceiling to recess the molding into the ceiling. The top row of the backsplash needs removed so that the cabinets can be lowered to the correct distance from the ceiling. The opening at the bar needs lowered to match the new location of the cabinets. The cabinets need installed to the drawings using the supplied hardware from the manufacture and secured to the wall to the manufactures instructions. If there aren't any supports to secure the cabinets per manufactures instructions then they need added. They should've been added when the studs where exposed as I suggested at the time but was told he didn't need to that they secure them to the studs. There aren't studs at all the locations to secure the cabinets per manufactures instructionsThe extra screw holes need repaired in the back panels. When the molding is installed the cuts need stained with the supplied stain. The nail holes in the molding need filled in after installation with the supplied filler from the manufacture. The hole that was cut into the cabinet for the microwave vent needs repaired. If it can't be repaired then a new cabinet bottom panel or cabinet will need to be purchased at his expense. The ceiling will need repaired around the top of the cabinets and sanded smooth. The microwave will need to be lowered and reinstalledThe top row of the backsplash will have to be reinstalled and grouted.
3: There are cracks in the ceiling drywall. He repaired some of them once by going over the cracks with joint compound and the cracks returned in a couple weeks. They need re taped and refinished. Some of the corner bead is coming looseThat will need repaired. There are a couple of spots that need sanded smooth4:The wood above the window needs finished. The molding split when they nailed the piece of wood in. The molding will need repaired. The nail holes in all the molding need filled in5: There are joints in the molding that need redone that don't line up right

I told him if anything was Wrong with flooring we would correct it, but I could not find anything wrong. The tile floor was looked at by Professional Flooring Company and they could not find anything Wrong with the flooring. I repaired Screw pops in drywall due to unevenness in existing Studs, was...

told about ceiling Cracking this was due to going over top Over old plaster as to homeowners request. Any other problems with drywall I was not informed about until letter. I set cabinets according to Home Depot print that homeowner had drawn up. Cabinets were purchased from another Company. The Crown molding was warped up from laying around to long. The holes in the cabinets would have been finished until he fired us. The microwave bracket was not secured because of other work needed done first but was taking care of. I was asked to paint which was not part of contract, told him we are not painters and he said go ahead and was never charged for painting. The nail holes in trim were not puttied because we were not finished. The Stove vent was never in contract but ran thru Cabinet again not in contract. The base molding is due to drying and Shrinking. The Window was to be taking care but he told us not to come back. The lock and door knob was installed correctly The hardware was found after the cabinets were installed was to be corrected but told not to come back. Did Substantial amount of extra work and never got paid for it. I could not turn flooring Over to insurance because it was not due to my installation. Last message we received from homeowner was he got got a drywaller and a floor guy coming in to do work, So that was breach of contract on his part. Then we received his letter about the complaints he is trying to make us pay for. Contract was $7,000.00 not $8,000.00. And as stated desire outcome/settlement - He fired us without chance to complete job.Thank YouGeneral Maintenance & Remodeling.
