Review: Bought some items for heating repair and paid around $400 on Jan 23 at 9:09am. Found out later that we need a different kind of materials to do the repair. Returned the item on Jan 27 at 10:30 am and found out that there is a 20% penalty or restocking fee when returning items. The actual percentage was not disclosed when the items were initially bought. I think this is a very bad practice.Desired Settlement: Want to get back the 20% that was not included on the refund. 20% is too much for restocking fee and should be changed. The new restocking fee should be clearly specify on the receipts.

IT IS CLEARLY STATED ON THE BACK OF THE INVOICE ITEM #8 IN THE LOWER PORTION THAT RETURNS ARE SUBJECT TO A RESTOCKING FEE OF 20%.

Review: I purchased a complete heating system from GPS approx six years ago. The [redacted] water heater came with a lifetime warranty on the tank. The began to leak profusely. I contacted [redacted] at GPS in [redacted], NJ. [redacted] told me the water heater was covered an I had to buy a new [redacted] and return the old one. GPS would charge $50.00 to handle the warranty. I paid GPS $ 1412.55 for the new water heater expecting to be reimbursed. After months I contacted [redacted] and he told me that he had to send pictures of the water heater to the manufacturer. The Manufacturer declined the warranty. I went to GPS and saw the [redacted] still in the open yard of GPS. THe tank was never uncovered. [redacted] said he did not take pictures of the tank. he My attorney wrote a letter to the manufacturer and the manufacturer agreed to return the money. GPS waited 2 months before returning $1305.55 to my credit card. [redacted], Branch Manager told me he was charging $100.00 and $7.00 tax for handling the warranty. I told him my attorney handled the warranty and they did nothing. I also told him the receipt that was giving to me by GPS said they would only charge $50.00 to handle the warranty. [redacted] said too bad, sue me.Desired Settlement: I wish to be returned the remaining $107.00 that GPS kept. I am not asking for anything regarding my aggravation or time spent by myself or my attorney. To have my attorney involved in this matter does not make sense. I want other people to see what they are getting into when dealing with General Plumbing Supply and the people in management that run the company.
