General Rental Center

Review: I called General rental center on Wed. 7/3 to rent tables and chairs for a house party on 7/7. I was told by Sophie that the items would be delivered on Sat 7/6 and I requested a call prior to delivery. On Sat. morning @11:00 a.m. I called and Sophie said that the items were on the way. By 1:30 p.m. no phone call was forthcoming and when I called General rental to inquire, the office was closed. Luckily Taylor rental center was open and I was able to get the items from them, although at a higher cost. If it were not for them the party would have been a disaster! I feel that I should be compensated for the difference in cost between the price I would have paid at General Rental and what I paid at [redacted] rental not to mention the stress and aggravation that I experienced. The owner of General Rental, **, did call me to say that my mastercard would be credited. I will have wait to see if he follows through.

Besides the credit to my mastercard acct., a $20.00 reimbursement for the higher cost at Taylor rental.

Customer placed a order for rental tables and chairs with the event date of 7/13/13 on our records. actual date was 7/6/13. I called the customer 10 am monday and Issued a full refund apologized and he thanked me. he also stated that he made other arraingements to get the supplies and that his party went on without incident. bottom line refund was processed immediatly and I do not understand the reason for this action as it was setteled 10 am monday over the phone. I am not willing to refund an extra 20 dollars as we matched [redacted] rentals price in order to get the order. Can you say "Extortion"
